Ford finally is offering a TrackPack, which includes 255/40ZR-19 P Zero summer tires, stiffer shocks, higher-performance brake pads, a 3.73 axle ratio instead of a 3.31, rear trailing links with stiffer bushings, a strut tower brace, and larger anti-roll bars (the tubular 34mm front bar goes from 5.1 to 5.8 mm wall thickness and the solid rear bar increases from 20 to 24mm). With all of these changes, Ford says maximum grip increases to 0.93 g, while body is reduced a further ten percent.

I just caught LHL's price ad tested, just over 37k, man I wonder if the '11 with the 5.0 and M6 will be knocking on 40k?

The TrackPack should have included the Brembos from the GT500. The car may have more track oriented pads but it still won't be enough. Oh well, that's what the FRPP's part catalog is for.

The Track Pack only costs about $1500. That's pretty good for what you get. I think I'll have to get that with my next Mustang!

Yeah, I'm getting concerned about the price too! It might be close to 40K by the time the 5.0 comes out. However, Ford might be offering a really good deal if the economy is still in bad shape?
Geez man, I wonder if they were listening? I cant think of how many times I've ran my mouth about just such a package! If the '11 power/trans changes go through I'll be right down at the dealer!

40k for a Mustang GT is bonkers. I love them but lets be real, the appeal of the car is the price/performance point. Even with 400hp, 40K gets you darn close to other stuff that is more refined. Think about it, 40K for a loaded GT puts everything aftermarket like Saleen or Roush WAY up in the stratusphere. It'll just be too much.

Its a GT premium so right there has a ton of features, security package another 500 and i got a auto so thats another 1000$. If i got a stick and got the first track pack it would of been like 500 cheaper. With x-plan pricing like i said it was a nudge over 31k. This basically has everything i want the onyl other real big stuff was the glass roof and the navi, imo its not needed especially when it will push the price up another 4k-5k
