LEDs in RTR license plate surround

Since I got my RTR to fit better I went ahead and wired in some red leds that come on with the brakes and turn signals. I'm happy with the added touch.

I think that's a cool idea. The LEDs prove the vents are functional.

Would look menacing if you could outline the squares with the red LEDs, but have them pointed inward toward each other on each side so you didn't actually see them, they just added an internal "glow"

The ones in the pictures are mounted above the opening, but the leds dominate the light output and gives the appearance that the strip is visible. I mounted the strip in various locations and this one had the best output without being visible.

I didn't realize there was something blocking the air flow from coming out from the vents. I still think it looks good and the LEDs are a good idea.

So... Is there something blocking the air from under car from coming through it?

Looking at the car without a bumper. I doubt they are functional. (Pic from when I was doing the GT500 Quad mod).

For Halloween, you can mount up some little "Devils" in there

That's a lot of damage.

I've thought about doing something like that ever since mine was installed in August 2012! Never got around to doing it though - now I guess I need to get it done as well. I like it.
