Jump Starter / Air Compressor

Does anyone carry a jump starter and air compressor with them in their cars or have them at home?

I have a jump starter, but I don't normally have it in the car, except during winter. I used to have a mini air compressor in my car but I took it out one day when I was cleaning it and haven't put it in back. The Jump starter I got at Sears and I don't remember where I got the mini compressor.

I have the inflator kit that came with Bullitt. So although I bought a mini-spare, I still keep the compressor in my trunk kit.
As for chargers, I only have a trickle charger here at the house. But I have other vehicles I could always use to jump a dead battery. I carry cables in the trunk kit.

I'm all for being prepared for emergencies, but that's a lot of trunk space in a car without much to spare, for things you likely will never use. I keep jumper cables in mine along with a small, basic socket set (for taking out the battery if I ever need to), a spare quart of oil and a funnel. That's it.

Do you really need the socket set? it's a good idea

I really have it most because there's been 2-3 times in the past 2 years where I would have been better able to help a friend with a dead battery if I had the socket set with me, so it's really more for others than anything on my car.
