I also agree.

you my friend have never had Wiper Fluid get in your eyes..

being on a bike when that happens.. SUCKS.. even with eye protection.. other than a full helmut (which CT doesnt require) it happens..

if you know there is a bike behind you and at that moment you decide YOU HAVE TO CLEAN YOUR WINDSHIELD, let them pass or move out of their way.. you holding them up anyway

Speaking of bikes, the pedaled kind drive me nuts when their Lance-Armstrong-wannabe riders in their spandex outfits ride their bikes on the road as if they're in a car, getting in the way and holding up the works. Especially irritating is when it happens on the 2-lane, shoulderless roads near where I live, where we have an EXTENSIVE array of paved bike paths. It's as if they're saying, "I'm too good for the bike path". Inconsiderate bastards.

They're supposed to obey all the rules of a car, but I don't think I've ever seen one even stop at a stop sign. Once we had a whole group of them driving on the shoulder and out of no where they swerved out in front of us to cross the street. My dad had to slam on the brakes barely missing them. And multiple times I've had them blow right through a four-way stop, never even looking to see if a car was coming.

As an occasional bike rider I get very annoyed at those riders who don't obey traffic laws. When I'm in my car if you want me to treat you with the same respect then follow the same rules I do. Even if you don't obey the laws of the road I still obey the laws of physics.

As for road vs. path riding, I've ridden paths but I've mostly ridden roads. One town I lived in did have some paths but I also had to ride a mile or two over a few roads to get them. Also, sometimes roads just provide a better view. Some bike paths can be a bit secluded and boring.

People are just A**holes most of the time.
One of my neighbors does the same ****ing thing every time I start washing the GT, detailing, anything! ..him & I have had it out a few times...

I drive around until I find a sport at the end, and park as close as I can to the curb. Seems to have worked so far. And for running errands and going to movie's and such, we take the wife's car...it's already dinged, so what's a few more!

Bike riders tend to act like pedestrians I find.

Speaking of cleaning, I think my car is due for one. I see now why people hate rain, all that water condensed on the back side and collected dust and left wonderful dirt spots all over the rear end. I guess I never noticed so much on my old silver Mustang.

Agreed...Right in front of me I saw an idiot on a bicycle come up to the crosswalk on the wrong side of the road and attempt to go in front of a car that was turning right and the driver didn't see him and almost hit him. And the bicyclist had the nerve to start yelling and motioning as if the car was in the wrong. I'm thinking...you idiot...if you had been hit it would have been your fault. You aren't a pedestrian so you follow the same rules as motor vehicles.

heheh you are absolutely right, I never had wiper fluid in my eyes. I have no aspiration to change that status either. But I didn't think we were factoring bikes into this one(unless I misread it somewhere). For a bike, I can definitely understand holding off, but for a normal car, not so much.

While we're rantin' about bikes 'n motorcycles...how about the ones that zip between lanes a hair's width from your Stang?

EDIT: I did misread (sorry bout that). I didn't realize that a GSXR was a bike. Because I r smrt.

Agreed, that does blow, unfortunately people are simply unaware of the problem it creates - I'll keep that in mind though the next time I clean my windshield (unfortuantely I'm a fanatic about it) though.

That somewhat reminds me of going out on the river this past sunday. It was a bit choppy and we were in a shallow V hull, the boat was handlng it okay, but every once and awhile we'd get some speed demon that loved launching the boat from wave to wave and we'd catch the wake. Not fun by any measure.

Lurker for a while. Had to register just to share what I just found, that fits right into this category.

I am currently working on selling my '02 GT vert, because I have an '11 on order (supposedly cuurrently on a rail car, coming soon!).

Anyway, I've got it parked on the street in front of my house with a for sale sign. I go out to give it a bath to take some pics for an online ad, and somebody has smashed a big wad of chewing gum ALL OVER THE DRIVER'S SIDE VIEW MIRROR. It's 85-90 degrees outside. AWESOME...it's melty and gooey, and now I get to try and get it off without scratching the mirror.

Who does that? What an inconsiderate bastard.

TWICE IN ONE DAY! "OOOH, your new car is so pretty... I just want to pet it" as they "wax-on" on my dusty hood (hey, it's a dry climate; the dust is insidious) with me RIGHT THERE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT!

... is it wrong for me to want to rig a spare battery to my sheet metal? CLEAR!

Henceforth I propose that all future posts to this thread end with the words: "Inconsiderate bastard(s)!"

(Sorry it's late & I gotta work in the morning; those inconsiderate bastards!)

I feel you..but what do you expect the guy to do? If he's a municipal employee and that is his job what do you expect of him? Not mow the lawn and lose his job..

This has happened to me before and I would have gone home and washed my car at 8PM. My wife thinks I am nuts...

My in-laws have their 35-foot RV parked in my driveway and they are living there for the summer . . . and they won't even take the hour-and-a-half to unhook and move it when I want to wash my car every other night . . .

INCONSIDERATE BASTARDS!

Guilty of this at school. Me and my friends own our part of the parking lot. We got a longbed F150, longbed Silverado, Extended cab short bed(same length) Ram and a lifted Wrangler all right there, no one parks near us!

Litterally a football field in length wasn't enough to keep the crap from hitting my car.
I am also guilty of this...

I feel like I'm reading FML. I think I need to go register "inconsideratebastards.com" to start a site where car enthusiasts can complain about crappy American drivers...hmmm
