If dealer installs 3.73s, does ECU need reprogramming?

If the dealer installs 3.73s, does the car need to be reprogrammed to correct the speedo or to readjust the traction control settings etc?

FRPP also sells a speedo recal box, but if the dealer is going to do the install they should be able to flash the PCM for the gear.

What I did in my old stang was the mods that would benefit from a tune first (like a CAI on the 5.0s) and got the tune as well. Then I added the gears and emailed my tuner and he sent me my tune with the gears adjusted and I just put it on with the tuner.

+1, I did same.

Get a CAI + tune first. Then do gears when you have the money and you'll be able to adjust it yourself with your tuner.

I want to get the gears now so they will be covered under warranty vs me having an aftermarket shop install the ring/pinion.

CAI and tune may come later.

I'll be sure to post to let you all know how it goes.
