I don't mean to sound insensitive, but that looks amazing! I'm literally gawking at your pics. That car is F'ed beyond belief and I couldn't be happier that you're okay. Scary-looking damage right there!

Seriously. The engine looks like it's halfway in the passenger seat!

Wow! Glad to see you walked away with just some muscle soreness. Any day you can do that is a GOOD day, although I'm sure it doesn't feel so yet. These cars are tough. Go play the lottery :-)

Glad you are OK! You never know when things go sideways where you will end up. Guess you need to find a low miles GT500 or Boss 302 to test drive now...

Incredible you were able to walk away from that. Glad you made it out, sorry about the car. Built Ford Tough is an understatement! I would say it functioned as designed.

get well

Wow, the accident is horrible. Hope you get recovered completely and get your ride replaced.

Take care.

Thank God you're ok, TORMENTOR. These pics look very scary, but I'm happy to know you walked away with your life. I hope this gets resolved quickly for you.

You are right. It won't ever be the same as this car but you'll get great, positive memories in your next one as well.

Here it is Wednesday morning and I still havent heard from the insurance company. I located a 2013 Black Cali Special that has everything on it I was looking for and I cant do anything about it until I hear from State Farm.
I have a feeling this car is going to slip away. But it is almost winter now and not to many people want sports cars in the winter in the midwest.

That was a bad one, Tormentor. Just a little bit of this way or that way, and YOU could have been totaled just like the car. Hope your injuries are negligible and the process of dealing with insurance adjustors is not too much of a PITA (yeah, right). Best wishes for a full recovery and a new Mustang in your future. MICK

Today I got the call from my insurance company telling me my car is a total loss and the pay out is going to by just shy of $30,000. After they pay off the loan I will receive $6000.00 to put down on a 2013 model.
I still have to try and recoup the $3100 in aftermarket parts myself. Not happy about that.
They gave me 2 options:
1st is to go through my insurance company for the payout and they will go after the other persons insurance to recoup their loss
2nd is for me to call the other drivers insurance company and open up a claim with them.
Now I have to decide which route to take.
I don't want to lose out because of this bad situation caused by the other drivers negligence.

My insurance company also said that the other driver has not opened up a claim yet with their own policy. Whats up with that?
