Good cars, but -

New Z4 ~$50K +
New TT ~$40K
New Miata ~$25K (That's why I referred to value in my post - even the retractable hardtop is under $30K)

Saw those episodes on "GEARS" a while back. Liked the V8 conversion, but the body mods they did to the car did not suit my taste.

wannabe, I'm sure there's a pill to help you through this crisis. Take one, lay back, relax, and hopefully the urge will pass.

Good luck on your decision.

I used to go through car ADD with only my Daily cars never when my Mustang was the side toy. With a Mustang you get the mod bug to change it up and this cures the ADD.

Well, the Miata is out. Fun to drive, yada yada, but I tried to pick up my left knee while driving and can't get it between the steering wheel and door handle. And that's bad.

On the other hand, I DID drive a used 2012 GT premium also... and OMG.. I may be in even more trouble now.

I knew it would be a HUGE difference from the '10 V6... but again, OMG. Exclamation point!

I intentionally don't take the trade-in vehicle with me when I'm looking, so I know I'm gonna have to come home and sleep on it before I go rushing into something half-cocked. But frankly, I might not be sleeping much tonight. It's been like two hours, and I've already pretty much decided.

Edited to say my wife just called from the casino stool waiting on a $2000 payout... so I might not feel as bad telling her I wanna make a deal.

Miatas look like an elf car, I'd rather ride a moped!

As a life-long GM owner, I love my 'stang!!!!!

In all honesty, having owned a new 2003 Miata, I know exactly what you mean. Remembering driving it is one of the most embarrassing memories I have. And now when I see a guy driving a Miata I just cringe. What was I thinking!

Besides, mine was not particularly reliable, the low profile tires were ridiculously expensive to replace, there is absolutely zero sensation of low-end grunt, and the little 4 sounds like loose parts rattling around in a coffee can. No, I didn't buy another.

Being a guy, I was under the impression you had to trade in your reproductive organs to drive/buy a miata.
