Got to the car last night in the Commuter Train parking lot. It was -20 celcius, with a windchill making it feel around -39 celcius (that's -38 F). The winds were howling, the snow was blowing hard, and the roads had been resurfaced with ice with only a light dusting of any snow that could actually settle in the winds.
No problems starting it up the car. The only issue I had was the ice crusted on my door handle made it a bit of a pull to open. On the way home, my v6 drove rock solid and straight as an arrow, despite the wind and ice. The rear end wiggled only once when I stepped on the accelerator hard coming out of a turn to see if I could swing the back end out - but the ECS kept it under control, and my opportunity for excitement faded away.
Good Winter Tires + ECS = no problem driving in the winter.
