I did it...test drove the new S550, my thoughts compared to my 12
LOL Kyle, you make a good point... in fact so good that, I need to do more research on the GT350. Shows you how much I know
I didn't know about the flat plane crank. All I knew was it was going to be a N/A V8. In my heart of hearts, I've always wanted a Shelby and since those were always blown V8's, the fact that this was N/A got me disappointed. Couple that with how my test drive of the S550 went, I was not keeping my hopes up.
However, after what you said above, not only do I need to do more research on the GT350, but I will keep a candle lit for it, and here's to hoping that the GT350 stays "RAW" just how I like my cars.

you hadn't heard about the flat plane crank?? that was the first thing I heard about it, but since you didn't know yet and if you haven't listened to the GT350 sound clips yet you should go look those up right now. that flat plane crank sounds amazing
If you add 50 (50 year anniversary on the faux cap) to the 1964 on the licence plate it brings you to last year 2014.
Ford ignored basic addition in favour of marketing I guess.
Loving the competition orange S550 though....looks good in that colour.
It looked good on the SN95 as well.

Id rather pay 30k and be able to fix and mod/upgrade with my own abilities than pay 50-80k and have to take it to the stealership/roadside-shop just for an oil change or fluid flush. I remeber one time my college buddy (rich family, was studying to be a general surgeon) took his c-class (2011 model i believe) to the dealership to take care of his check engine light. They charged 300 bucks just to figure out what code was being thrown and diagnose it, another 100 to replace his belt, 150 to flush and refill all his fluids (even the windshield fluid, the ******* windshield washer fluid) and 200 to change his oil and refill with full synthetic. Oh, and 100 to replace his cabin and air filters. (That part didnt seem as bad but still a little steep) and two weeks later his light came back on.
When i got a check engine light i used my tuner (back when i had my 02) i read the code, looked it up online and found my o2 sensors were going bad. Got new sensors online and decided to do a full flush as well. Took less time and only had to spend about 100-150 bucks total. Oh and i went ahead and installed my CAI and throttle body at the same time. Try doing that with a "premium" brand automobile. Id much rather get my own hands dirty every several or so thousand miles and buy a few beers than pay someone to do it for me and have my bank account drained with no beer/food/gas money left over

. How did I not get that. So then, the plate should be 1965DNA.

Good review and comparison! http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/201...t-r-1690162958
There was a 1999 25th special edition.
The 2004 mustangs had 40th ann. fender emblems plus there was a special 40th model in a metallic burgundy with gold stripes.
The 2009 mustangs had 45th ann. emblems on their fenders.
So, following that the 2014 was the 50th.
I don't care whatsoever and am not hating on it just pointing out this was about marketing for the new S550.
It really doesn't matter a whole lot in the whole scheme of things if they wanted to do that for a new revamped model they could market globally.
It makes sense from a marketing standpoint and if it helps sales it's all good.
Saw a 2015 Yellow GT on the highway today and he was really motoring when he got some open stretches. Funny though there was a Hyundai Elantra just busting his *** trying to keep up with the mustang. I think the stang driver would slow down on purpose to let him think he had some hope and then pull away just to kill that dream. lol
