So, I have read/heard that at times, the rings get bonded to the hub for whatever reason, be it rust, heat, dirt, etc... So the anti-seize/grease would just help get it off. Especially since I will be doing that 2x a year, (remove in winter, install in spring).

Anyone else on here with my same situation, or has used a type of grease/anti-seize compound?

Maybe if you were using aluminum versions, but probably not needed with plastic?? I could see having some corrosion with the dissimilar metal of the wheel hub.

Anyway I drive like 28K miles a year and rotate frequently so nothing ever really has a chance to seize up much.

Hopefully someone else can chime in....

Yeah, I have heard of instances where plastic/polycarbonate rings end up being disintegrated upon next removal. As for the reason(s) why, I am unaware.

But yes, the rings I have ordered and on the way are aluminum.

Thanx! I've been needing some for my winter car studded wheel set.

Aluminum rings were a good choice. If you use anti-seize don't go crazy with the stuff. It has a way of appearing in places you least expect...I'm convinced that stuff has legs and can walk! It's also hellsih to clean up. A light coating of good quality grease would work well also.

Look what just arrived! Now if only the weather would cooperate, I can start to mount these bad boys. I'll do a test fit on the Milans tonight... That part I can do without going in the cold garage and taking off the current brembo rims.

Perfect fit. No interference issues. Pics are before ring placement and after ring placement.
