I have almost 32K on my '13 GT now. I did the first OC/Filter at 2500 miles, and do it every 5K now. I use Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W-20 and Ford filter. I do the work myself and it runs $60-$80, depending on whether or not there is a sale.

Once a year with Amsoil 10W-30 and an Amsoil filter. It costs me about $90.

So it looks like I was in the right going in a bit early and having it done. $90 isn't off base for having the dealership do it for me. Thank you!

I just get "The works" from my dealer for ~$40ish every 5k miles. Oil/filter/tire rotation and I think they top off the other fluids.

I used to do my own oil changes, then when I went to college I no longer had a place to do them, and now that I'm on the verge of buying a house and having a place to do them again I can't honestly see myself ever changing my own oil again, mainly because of the nasty hassle of bringing it somewhere to dispose of.

Same here. The Works from my Ford dealer every 5,000 miles for about 40.00 is where it's at.

I did "The Works" as well for my first oil change. Did the dealer charge you guys extra for oil since that package covers only 5 quarts of oil? Just wondering because I had brought my own Mobil 1 and they subtracted the cost of the oil and filter, so I ended up paying $18 instead of $40.

I change my own oil and use 5W-20 Motorcraft blend and a Motorcraft FL500s filter. I buy both of these at Walmart for about $40 and have two quarts left over.

The initial oil fill was left in for 4,600 miles and when the car was a year old with 43% left on the OLM. I now have about 6,300 miles on this change and next month will be a year since I changed it last. I'm at 10% on the OLM.

I plan on using the OLM or one year changes. Since this car is not a daily driver, the one year changes are what will probably happen in the future as well.

I have the oil changed at the dealership every 4k miles. The thing is the dealership I bought the car from new offers free oil changes for the lifetime of your ownership for any new or used car purchased from them, so I really haven't spent more than $15 in the last 32k miles and that was for a tire patch.

I changed to Mobil 1 ep at 1,000 miles, taking out the break in oil. Did another at 5,000 miles then at 10,000. Now I just change it every 10,000 with Mobil 1 EP. I have 30k on the clock and just finished up. It costs me around $80.

I only put about 3-4k miles per year, so I do it 1x a year. Amsoil 5W-20 Sig Series, with accompanying filter. I do the changes all myself. Quarts are 12 to 13 bucks per, but I don't pay anywhere near that. Marilyn's had Amsoil since 500 miles on her, over 3 years ago. Wow, can't believe it's been that long.
