i am planning on getting a black, grabber blue, or kona blue V6. i would really want a GT, but since it is my primary source of tranportation the 6 would be more economical

I've had both a V6 and a GT and the V6 barely gets better gas milage, if any. This is from personal experience, so your milage may vary. It was quite disappointing! I think if you are gonna get the sixer it's way better to wait a year until they put the 3.5 in (if that happens in 2011). Better gas milage and more power, hard to beat that. THe 4.0 isn't great with milage.

For me the interior is vastly superior to my 07 GT Vert and that alone makes it desirable - BUT that rear end really spoils it for me.
I always intended to upgrade to the 2010 but now having seen the pictures and the way the pound has gone against the dollar the jury is out until I see one in the flesh.

No way would i buy the 2010 model with 315hp in these uncertain economic times, also with the fact that knowing hopefully 400hp is coming in 2011!

i bought my 05 GT out right last year knowing i will be holding on to her for a very long time, maybe forever!

My wife has a big passion for all mustangs especialy classics. She loves the new 2010 more than i do, but i think it will grow on me so i would consider 2011 with 400hp, depending how the economy is!

never selling the 05 what ever we decide!

I like the 05~09 better...a whole lot better...enough we're hopefully picking up a 09 Monday

I wish ford all the luck in the world with the '10, but dont think its gonna compare at all to the enthusiasm that happened when the 05 came out...

to me, after all the hoopla, the 'reveal' didnt cry out 'buy me', but more 'hurry up and get a 09 while you still can'...I honestly believe in 20 years the 05~09 will be the most desirable 'classic' mustang, as by then there wont be many 69's left...

Being a refresh, you'd be crazy to expect it to.

If I manage to get a job soon, I'll probably have the clout with my parents to get one.

You are correct, sir!

Get a grabber blue V6 and add the Terlingua-style supercharger kit. That is the good news about the c/o engines- all the performance mods from the past five years will bolt right on!

Be sure to get the V6 Premium with the Premier Color Accent and the Grabber Blue seat stripes:

1964-66 is like 2005-09

While 2010 is like 1967-68- more curves

I just don't understand the "fear" of the new rear end design- to me its one of the best things about the exterior. Makes the 2005-09 look so long and flat, like a six-sided box.

Notice how the kick up in the 2010 tailamps is a reference to the the kick up of the chrome strip above the 1967 lamps. Its definitely mustang- and those three separate chambers. Awesome!!!!!!!!

Most likely for me, it will end up being a 2011, but I'm not sure. I was hoping to buy my recreational vehicle around February or March of 2010, but if I know that there are big engine changes coming for 2011, I would likely wait it out (unless maybe I could get a big price discount on a 2010, and then I would get a Ford Racing supercharger installed). Since seeing the 2010, I'm in love with the Mustang. It was under consideration before, but now it's probably at the top of my list of cars I'm considering, as long as I can afford to get a third car at that time. Other cars at the top of the list are: Nissan 370Z, Mazda RX-8, Mazda MX-5/Miata, maybe BMW 135i, and maybe Evo GSR. My original requirement of a PowerShift/DSG-style transmission is gone, so my choices have broadened considerably.

Not getting a 2010, but it's not a $$$ issue.

If I do get a new one, I'm going to wait till atleast 2012 for the bigger motor and some real world miles on said motor.

Being that my current 05 GT, won't be paid off until 2011. I'm going to have to wait anyhow.

In the meantime, I'm hoping that in 2011-12. Ford will reveal a concept version of it's 50th anniversary edition, for the 2014-15 model year.

Not a bad plan. My intention was to wait until 2012 or 2013 and see if an appealing SE shows up. But at that point it might be better to just skip a generation and go for the '14/'15 car. Of course, that will all hinge on whether Ford continues to evolve the classic look for the 21st century, or abandons the retro inspiration and builds something completely different altogether.

If they go that last route - unless it's a spectacular design - I may just jump ship and get something else entirely.
