No money/economy worries, just no desire at all to trade my 05 for a 2010.

From what I've seen, not interested even if I could buy one. I enjoyed my 06 Vert and flat out love my 08 coupe with the added 4.10 gears & tune. I'm just love'n what I got!

I really like my 05 and plan on keeping it, I'm at the point now where I am pretty happy with it's performance.

but always wished the S197 would have came with more cubes and a better transmission,
and now that the 2011 is going to offer what I've been waiting for, I may just pull the trigger.

I've Also been thinking about the V6TT lately which it's starting to become very appealing to me.

I'm thinking I may just drop in the 5.0 and 6speed in my S197 and purchase V6TT.

Other than the new interior and subtle hips, I really don't see the need for giving up my current 05 GT. for a 2010 model. As I personally don't see a significant difference between the current 05-09 models over the 2010's.

That being said, I'll just wait for the 50th anniversary edition, in 2014 instead.

2010? Probably not. 400hp plus 2011? (Shakes magic Eight ball) Chances are good.

Money isn't really a concern. And my reasons for not getting a 2010 has nothing to do with the economy.
Thus far the 2010 isn't really doing much for me. They would have to do something really special to that car- performance wise- to get me interested.
At this point in time I'm pretty sure I'm going to supercharge my 08 Bullitt and add the GT500 brake package from Ford Racing.
That's going to give me performance well beyond what 2010 is going to have and even more than 2011 is going to have.
It'll run me about 12k, but that's much cheaper than taking the trade in loss on the Bullitt and paying the higher prices the new model is going to be- plus the Bullitt is one of the most unique mustangs ever made.
450+RWHP will be more than enough for me.

Not that I would suggest parting with your Bullitt, but if you were interested in purchasing a 2011 GT. You would be far better off, to sell the Bullitt outright. Rather than trade it in.

Well. with the 5.0L 400HP engine in the 2011 - not to mention it's gonna have a much better interior and more technology - you could add a supercharger to that car and it will blow away anything you can do to the Bullitt.

I can not see anyone trading in their 05-09 for a '10. It would be crazy not to wait until the '11 when the 5.0 hits the streets. The HP increase on the '10's will most likely be were are cars are now with our CAI's and tunes.
The only problem will be what will the price be for the '11's? Will it go up and put it out of reach for some of us? I will hang on to my '08 until the '11's come out and see what the pricing will be.

If they came out with a Boss edition I might consider it.
SC my Bullitt will give me the HP gains I want. SC a 2011 would certainly give me more HP than the SC'd Bullitt, but the overall costs would be much higher.
Trade in loss on the Bullitt, higher selling price for a 2011 400hp GT, cost of SC'ing (which is really zero since the cost would be the same for both cars).

I don't mind spending money on something that I want, but I'm not going to throw money away on something that I don't want.
I've never had any complaints with the interior of the S197 Stang, so Ford is going to have to really impress me to make me want to move up to the new design.

I agree 100%. If you already currently own an 05-09 it would be foolish to buy a 2010. And anyone who does trade in for the 2010 is going to really regret it when the 2011 hits the showroom.
This is one reason I think the 2010 is a bit of a lame duck model- anyone in the know is going to wait for 2011. Thus Ford is going to lose a great many sales and that is something that they truly can't afford to lose.

Kind of depends on personal preference, to me 300 hp is plenty of power for what I need it do. I don't race it, its a daily driver. I could care less if a new Camaro is faster or not, thats not why I am buying one.

Ditto! Though if I were to consider a New Edge S197 (has that term been coined yet? If not - dibs! ) it wouldn't be until MY2011 for the DOHC 5.0 And that would only be if I could transfer my tires and wheels to the new car, other wise no go.

Yes for certain everyone has their own preference. I just think it makes sense to wait until 2011. Improved HP and probably even more refinements to the car. If you really want to get a 2010 I'd wait until the 2011's start production- they'll need to discount the 2010's even more to get them off the lots.

Well, that can be said for any model year, I am sure MY12 will offer things not available in MY11. I know when I bought my '05, there was a fraction of the options now offered on the '09s. Also, I won't be able to get as good of deal on an '11 that I am getting on a '10 since I won't be in Iraq when the MY11s can be ordered.

I'm still on the fence. I really want to keep my '06 and build the motor. Hopefully when the new powerplants hit, the parts will be cheaper.
