How many miles to empty on your 2011 5.0 dash read out.

I have a weird question for all. I had to have the fuel pump replaced under waranty after getting it back the full tank is 255-260 miles to empty no matter how much I try to put more in. B/4 the repair I had apx 305 -320 miles to empty on the display. Not a big deal just wondered what every one else gets when you fill it to the max. not a big deal just curious.

I can't speak from experience, but have you tried resetting the Average MPG/Miles to Empty on the dash?

I noticed that the "miles to empty" display is calculated based on your driving habits. I drove my 2012 GT across the country and after several fill ups it nearly showed 400 miles until empty. This was observed during 3 days of driving on the highway with cruise control.

The miles to empty gets worked out over a period of time, the longer you leave it before resetting it, the more accurate it will be. With that said if you drive for weeks "pampering it" you will get a high miles to empty, but if you then drive it hard for a day it will still show say 300 to empty but infact you will be empty a longtime before hitting 300.

I get 22 mpg on average with a mix of around town and some highway, however when I go on long drives with hours on cruise control and reset before leaving this goes up to as much as 26-27.

I think this totally depends on your MPG, if you have higher MPG, you will get higher miles to E; if you got low MPG, you will definitely have lower miles to E.
just my opinion.

This is correct, guys! Your MPG and your "Miles to Empty" depend on your driving habits.
