Horrid gas mileage

By no means do i beat on the car for mileage this bad. The best i can pony up is 190 miles a tank! My car is a brembo, trac pac car. Average driving at 70 mph on the highway 40 miles round trip a day. But seriously the best i can get out of this thing stock is 190 miles. Any ideas why? i did 2 Kam resets and it starts back at 325 but drops like a rock back to 190. Car is feels faster then my old modded 2011 in stock form but again 190 is nothing to laugh about for a stock car while others are pulling 100 extra miles then me.

any ideas before going to the dealer would be great

My friends 12 automatic averages 13 mpg but she beats on it with her high heeled pretty foot.

Is yours manual or auto? May be a problem air fuel ratio. I'm sure someone here has the answer.

3.73 MT here and I've been averaging 19-19.5 mpg with about an even mix of freeway (@ 75-80) and city. Also I've got over 6,000 miles on it, so I'm completely broken in. But even brand new I never got that bad of gas mileage.

V6 pp over here and I'm getting about 18 or so with 3100 miles. Better than before though was getting about 13-16 when I was below 2000 miles. Hopefully keeps improving though. I did add a cai so maybe that was the boost? Still gonna wait a bit longer to see if it improves before dealer involvement.

go 65 mph put 3:31 gears in, and get a CAI and you'll see a huge boost in MPG

You have a track pack 5.0 and you want good MPG, you bought the wrong car buddy!

this is a joke right? i had a 2011 that i traded in that had boss manifold, tune, 3.90 gear, mid pipe, axle back and still got 26 on the highway.

Also intakes are worthless and bling mods... there is absolutely no boost in gas mileage with one or power for that matter

What about dyno vids that show increased power? Or is it all just an allusion? Exhaust doesnt add piwer either right? Thats gotta be it

I thought we were discussing gas mileage?

The OP has the brembo package with larger wheels. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?

I heard that the sweet spot of a mustang for gas mileage is constant speed of 55-60. Speeds above that lower economy. I wonder if cruise control might help him?

My guess is driving style, road conditions, wind force and quality of gas. Sounds like everything else is mechanically sound.

Gas is 4 bucks a gallon here!. Sorry bro. Really hope it evens out for you.

I have 5500 miles on my gt, I don't have track package, I do have the 19" wheels and a 3.55. I'm getting about 16-19 based on how much "spirit" I put into my daily driving. I drive about 2 miles in the city streets and 8 miles on the freeway each way to work, plus I drive around town. I'm very pleased with the MPG, I drove down from oregon to the bay area a few times, and even averaging 80 mph I can pull down a good 23-24 mpg on that drive.
