Help - What is the difference???
I was wondering if anyone can assist me and shine some light on this topic.
What is the difference between the Ford Racing Laguna Seca Front Splitter (Ford Part # 161-M-16601-MB) and the Ford Racing World Challenge Front Splitter (Ford Part # 161-M-16601-S)?
Both splitter kits appear to come with the same hardware, and even look alike!
Any help is greatly appreciated...

Thanks for the reply... I thought the same thing at first, but then there is also the Laguna Seca Splitter Kit WITH CS/Boss fascia, which is listed with Part # 161-M-16601-MBKITA, which includes the fascia.
Here's why I have such difficulty of figuring it out:
1661-M-16601-MBKITA = approx. $945 Laguna Seca Splitter Kit w/ fascia
161-M-16601-MB = approx. $745 Laguna Seca Splitter Kit w/o fascia
161-M-16601-S = approx. $580 World Challenge Splitter Kit
Still majorly confused!

A bit more research got me these results.
1661-M-16601-MBKITA includes the Laguna Seca splitter, adjustable rods, mounting bracket and hardware, Boss/CS fascia, fascia insert(blocks crap from hitting the radiator with the open Boss/CS facia), and the bottom rock deflector. This is a complete kit for those who don't have a Boss 302 or California Special.
1661-M-16601-MB includes everything above except the Boss/CS facia and the bottom rock deflector. It still includes the facia insert. This kit is intended for those with a Boss or CS.
1661-M-16601-S only includes the Splitter, bracket, adjustable rods and hardware. No fascia or fascia insert. This is a "bare-bones" kit.
The lower fascia insert is an add-on to the Boss/CS fascia. It blocks the rocks and **** from hitting the radiator.
Edit: I should add, in case you're unaware and intend to use it on public roads, the splitters aren't street legal in the US. If you're only using it at the track, you're fine.

Thanks so much!!! Your explanation helped tremendously! I even contacted AM, and they weren't event able to tell me the difference.
Now it finally makes sense.
And since I already have the CS/Boss fascia on my GT (I currently have the regular Boss splitter), I should be fine with the bare bones kit, however, until you mentioned it, I was never aware that there was such a thing as fascia insert. Is that something which could be ordered separately regardless? Part #?

Unfortunately I couldn't find you a part number through the site I use for OEM stuff. The Ford Racing insert for the fascia is similar to this part, dr3z-17k945-ca, which is an OEM 2013 Boss/CS insert.
I did find an aftermarket insert though, in case you're interested. Honestly though, you could just use something like chicken wire to accomplish the same thing, if you're a "DIYer"

When I was looking into buying that splitter, the warning said it "Could" interfere with cars safety features. My guess is, because the splitter was deemed a race only part, it was never highway safety crash tested so they can’t make any positive claims one way or another. It wouldn’t stop me from buying one! What stopped me back then was the kit was $2400.
