My one piece aluminum driveshaft is on the UPS truck to be delivered today.

I would cut the rubber section to see whats in there but i'll have to store it so i can reinstall it when and if i ever sell or trade my Mustang.
Let us know how you like it!

I installed it and will test it out in a couple hours. I'll start a new Thread in the '10-14 V6 Modifications section later on

Hmmmm. Taking a photo of ones self at 118+ MPH while driving ranks up there with the guy in the video blowing up his drive shaft, or those that text while driving....

oh wait.. a 112 speed limiter.. problem solved

.

I had this "discussion" with some guys over on BON just a day or two ago. As far as I'm concerned, Ford F'ed up on this design. Think about everything that's been said about the new V6 since its debut. "305 horsepower". "As fast as the previous gen GT". "Smoking accelertation". Yada yada etc. Its real nice and easy chair to say "well Ford put a speed limiter on the computer so too bad". F THAT! People have been breaking into and retuning Mustang computers for what....15 years!?? Did they really think people would buy a V6 Mustang with as much horsepower as a recent V8 and not retune them? You can say don't do that all you want, the facts are some people are going to do just that.

At the end of the day, my feeling is put the real driveshaft in there, set the limiter to 130 and call it a day. The car is FAST, we know that. Any hot rodder that buys one of these and zips it through the gears the first time and raps on that limiter is immediately going to start wondering how to get around that. This move was a beancounter mistake and it should be fixed.

Yes, really. At that illegal speed, I'd at least expect you to be paying attention to the road. Inocent folks get killed this way.

True story - my grandmother (glad the ***** is dead) would get on the highway and go about 35-40 mph and utter that very line, puffing away like a freight train and pissed as hell.

Even truer story, a state cop pulled her and gave her a ticket for going to slow and told her to get the hell off the highway.

FYI I did this on a sub road in the middle of now where in the desert on the res in new mexico. Not a person or house for 50 miles. I am not stupid.

On an F150 site I moderate on, we banned any type of post that talks of street racing, or folks snapping pics of themselves speeding. I think it's a good idea, as it promotes saving lives on the public roads, both yours and anyone else that shares the road.

I lost a niece to a young, foolish driver. She was 21, and was killed by the driver who wanted to "see if his car would do 120...". She was a 4.0 GPA student, full scholarship, pre-law. Waiting at a public bus stop on public roads. Fair? I think not.

What a waste. Said part was that the driver got charged with manslaughter, and will be eligable for release in 2015. Will most likely get to drive again.

My opinion? Keep the speed stuff for closed tracks, and off the public roads.

Now little higher on the speedo, say 130 or so and thats rare ground for me and I dont think I'd be fumbling with a phone camera at that point

to be honest most of the time I only do 6 mph over the limit. I mainly enjoy my car when I at my dads house which is on the reservation(so it doesnt count as america).

I do enjoy getting to the speed limit in a fast manner but I really do not get to crazy since phoenix drivers scare the hell out of me.

Many of my pics of high speed happen on the track.

17k miles and removed the limiter...I never take my mustang for granted like that

After all this waiting (12 weeks) I'll build a shrine in my garage never to remove or add anything to stock parts..

I just want that Gt rumble ford blessed it with
