I'm 57 years old with a perfect driving record. My rate is going to be $131.06 more, every 6 months. My trade-in is a 07 Dodge Caliber, 4 cylinder. That's not too bad.

Mine for the '10 V6 went up $18/month over the '08 Escape we traded off. When I called to check before buying, I think the difference between the V6 and GT was another $9 or so a month. I don't recall ever having a claim with State Farm... but my wife has had a couple of doozies in the past several years.

Funny all you guys down there get quotes for a 6 month period !
Don't you get year contract quotes like we do over here. Is it like they want to see how your driving will be during that 6 month period ! We don't have ( not that i'm aware of anyway's..) such 6 month period insurance contracts over here. I've always been insured for a 1 year contract no matter what happened, but if you had a claim you had better get ready for a raise the next year. I even signed for a 2 year contract for both my house and my DD just the other day.

Prior to my oldest son getting his lisence almost 2 yrs ago, we had State Auto and a 1 year premium. When he joined the policy, our agent switched us over to The Hartford as they have slightly better teen driver rates but also a 6 Month Policy.
I think it depends on the insurance company and maybe who's on the policy as to how long a term they offer.

Hmmm, I'll have to check the fine print but I was always under the impression that they quote you based on a year, and you can pay monthly or every 6 months. Dunno though; I have it set up for automatic debit, and my rate hasn't changed in 6 years.

That's a steal Rick, i'm 43 with no claims for the past 5-6 years, so the 5.0 should cost me roughly the same. How's your order coming along ?

Hey Dan, I should get my car hopefully in about 2-3 weeks.
I think the quote was 681$ total with taxes, including two years of "replacing for a brand new car in case of steal or total loss". They usually can do better than two years, but for a car of that price, they can only do 2 years.![Dunno](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
BTW, it is with TD Insurance. They told me I am getting such a good deal because I have more than 1 car with them and also I have my house insured with them.

My agent just gave me a quote on my `11 GT. (24/unmarried/male)
$1035 for six months. Not too bad, considering my `94 Explorer costs me about $100/month right now. I'm hoping that the rate will go down at the end of the year when I turn 25, but for right now, it's not too bad.
