Hand me down motor?

Today i was reading a thread on themustangforums.com and noticed how the camaro alsways got the Corvettes motor after the corvette had got a newer one. so my Question is this. Would you care if Ford put the Terminator 4v S/C'ed motor into the '10 mustang?

The S/c'd 4.6L would be nice but, I would rather have the N/A 400hp 5.0L that's supposedly coming.

I think that would be a great idea! I proposed this years ago while we were waiting for the GT500. Ford probably should have built s/c 4.6s for model year 05-06 Cobras... Not only is it a great motor in stock trim but it is by far the most mod friendly that i've worked with. I still wonder why this motor had such a short life span, why didn't Ford use it in other vehicles like the Mercury Marauder, perhaps an SVT Thunderbird or Explorer oh well........

The termi motor is bad a$$ They use to dyno at 360rwhp bone stock talk about sand bagging... But I would have to go with the 5.0 4V dohc on this one.

A direct Injection 5.0 liter V8 would be my personal preference. Better fuel economy and Performance for around the same price is key.

5.0 will probably be a cheaper engine pricewise.

More volume, less components.

Strong motor, for sure, but not the lightest nor most economical piece either. I think an all AL 5.0, presumably with good breathing 4V heads and possibly even DI (on introduction) would make better sense in this day and age of $3.50/gal gas (and rising), not to mention much tighter EPA and CAFE standards.

I think the age of stuffing ever bigger, more powerful motors in ever bigger cars is coming to an end and the new approach to performance will focus more on weight, aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics (handling and braking). Motors will still be strong, but probably start plateauing out at around the 400-450 mark in general production cars.

I'll always be willing to pay for gas for a good American (mostly made in Mexico and other various countries) V-8.

The Terminator motor was great in its day, but time marches on, Ford has better engines coming.
