Gritty Clutch pedal
Gritty Clutch pedal
Hello guys. 2013 Mustang 6 speed. Just recently replaced clutch with exedy mach 500 and new throw out bearing and resurfaced flywheel. Everything went well during break in period. No slipping smooth pedal ect. Did a couple hard pulls after break in and now the pedal has a gritty feeling ONLY when engaged into gear. Neutral is nice and smooth up and down. It almost feels like dirt or sand when shiffting gears in the pedal. Shifts fine engages fine no slipping just grittiness in the pedal. Clutch install went perfect. Greased input shaft did not grease the throwout bearing inside or out, wasnt sure if had too. Blue loctite on all new hardware. Tourqued to spec. Replaced brake fluid. Still dark in color tho. Just after hard pulls clutch is just gritty. Also i removed the helper spring way before new clutch. Any ideas. Dirty fluid, bad hydraulic master cylinder, slave cylinder or just normal after spirited driving. Kinda worried. Thanks for the help!!
