On my way to work this morning my salesman called and gave me the good news. Got a VIN and it's scheduled to be built on 4/19 with a delivery ETA of 5/02.

 

Congrats! Mine is going to be built next week!

 

Yes, it's a relief to get the VIN but then the anticipation of the build and delivery grow! Fun isn't it?

I got my VIN earilier this week too, with the same build week but my dealer wouldn't estimate the delivery yet. Should be able to start watching for our window stickers next week...

 

Good for you! Mine's also scheduled to be built on the 19th and my ETA is 5/8 (a Saturday? Wierd). Can't wait! It's going to be a LONG month!

When Ford schedules a build date and issues a VIN, do they automatically contact the dealer and tell them or does the dealer have to call up and ask for it?

 

Fleet manager faxed me a paper with all their stock and retail VIN's. Every one of their retail orders have been scheduled and all of their stock orders were produced. One retail GT500 and four 5.0 retails. Their stock had about 10 cars and only two were GT's.

 

Did they have any ETA's for them yet?

 

They were spread out a bit. Some were week of 4/18 and the others were 4/26. All retail orders were 5/02
