What should I expect in terms of power difference. I have driven the little 200HP 4L T in Germany for 3 years. My previous vehicle before that was a 05 Ram single can Hemi. How much more car is the 5.0 over both of those vehicles?

 

I can't say personally, but going from my 200hp V6 Mustang to the 315hp 2010 GT was enough for me, for a daily driver. And, at least you'll have no problems with Reverse!

 

You will experience a pretty massive difference in power and torque. You'll enjoy it.

 

Haha yea I will have reverse down pat lol. I test drove a SRT-8 Challenger but didnt really get on it much and that had some *****. So I am pretty anxious about getting behind the wheel of my Stang in a couple weeks.

 

I too am coming from an 08 VW R32. Mines a 3.2 liter 250hp v6 though with awd.

 

Where in Germany are you located? I am in Heidelberg. My new mustang arrived yesterday and I will take delivery next week.

Have fun with the new pony car. It's much faster than a GTI. TRUST ME!!! I have been here quite a few years (20) and I know those cars well. I always loved the GTIs but no comparison to the 5.0 in the power department. I even had a 5.0 in the mid 90s and raced VW Golf GTIs, Opel Kadett GSIs, etc and no comparison.

 

your talking about a mustang that will run 12.7 1/4 mile times off the showroom floor, add a tune and intake and exhaust your looking at high elevens, so yeah you will be impressed...

 

I am up in Ramstein till the 4th of Aug, then I head to Colorado. I loved my GTI on the Bahn but I have missed that muscle car sound.

 

Anyone have a link to the guy on the GTI forum that was changing from a GTI to a 5.0, you should check that thread out.
