Gas cover not closing

Have a slight dilemma was putting gas into my car when I accidentally backed into the open gas cover bending it back a little bit. Now when I try to close it it's not flush with the rest of the body of the car. Anyone else experience their cover not closing properly and if there are any suggestions on fixing it??? Thanks guys.

You'll have to straighten it out or replace it, what else is there?

I did the same thing. After cursing for a bit, I just bent it back. Closes just fine now.

Once you do that kind of damage the car will never be the same. Option C is to order a new one.

To prevent that from happening to my car I just don't put gas in it -- when the tank gets low I just trade it in for a new one.

Hmmmm good idea if only it wouldn't take 5 months to get the car. Lol

This is a great excuse to get the Silver Horse Racing door. I put one on two weeks ago, and like the look. Took all of 20 minutes. Here is a link;

Submit an insurance claim. And don't forget to demand the diminished value compensation.
