I had a guy ask me why would I put 5.0 badges on my mustang. I was like ummm it's a 5.0. He looked confused and walked away.

There are many stangs in my area but I've only seen a couple other GB. I constantly get thumbs up, compliments and the occassional Honda that wants to race. The most common question I get is what the color is called and where I got it custom painted. Since I've had the shaker installed I have been asked several times what supercharger I have. I guess the general public thinks if you have something sticking out the hood you have a supercharger.

 

Hey guys...remember all the whining coming from the Camaro guys about how many Mustangs are on the road? Well let me tell you, they better put that whine away. I live in a town of about 16K and the new Camaros are every where. I can't go anywhere in this town without seeing at least 3 to 4 within a 15 minute time frame. And Yes, there are a lot of Mustangs too...but hardly any 2010...much less 2011 5.0s. Since I've had my car (Aug 2010), I've seen exactly 3 other 2011s. Now I know that doesn't bold well for sales, but I kinda like knowing that when I hit the streets of my town, I'm driving a car that very few people own...and people who know a thing or two about cars know that I'm driving something special...and it feels good.

 

I see more Camaros than Mustangs around here. I can't tell if they're SS's or V6 though..

 

Having the only 2011 Mustang in the country and perhaps most of eastern europe I get more attention than I can stand sometimes. There are perhaps 5 Mustangs in the country including my previous '05 GT and the new owner doesn't want to pay the tax so it's just sitting at the moment. I could bore you to tears with all the compliments, questions, and offers to buy it. Sometimes it's a pain but most of the time I enjoy it.

 

I've seen quite a bit of 2011's but no one has the 5.0 except me and I've seen 1 other one in a town close to mine

I see TONS of v6 Camaros in my town not to many v8 SS ones. , only seen about 2-3 more 5.0s other than mine, but i do see alot of the 2010-11 V6 pony cars

 

I was at the Summer Nationals last July, had a guy come up and tell me the car looked good with the 5.0 emblems that I had put on. I told him I didn't put them on, Ford did. He got all excited and asked if he could see it, as he hadn't been able to find an 11 to look at. Of course, I accomodated him, drew quite a crowd as it was the only 11 there.

 

Leaving Subway parking lot near my house.. a guy walking down the street.. asked me why i didnt get the 4.6? i said this is a 2011 5.0... he then started trolling me... well the 4.6 is a much better motor.. i have a 2001 with 1100hp.. i said then why are you walking down the street?

 

While cruising with the top down with my dad in his brand new 2011 gt500 last summer one of the first days he had it someone in a ford f-150 shouted at us "I hate your car". We both just laughed.
