Fuel stabilizer recomendations

This is the 2nd year I'm storing the stang and never used fuel stabilizer last year. My local shop had Lucas or sta-bil regular and marine. A guy at work told me to use the sta-bil marine one. Not exactly sure I want to trust him. Which one should I use or another recommendation? Also do I need to add anything to the oil? It will be sitting until end of march.

My E-10 93 octane gas lasted at least a year in my Trans Am with regular Sta-Bil. I always double what they say needs to be in it though and run it through the system so it's mixed throughout the fuel lines and injector rails.

x2 with sta-bil, and starting the engine and letting it run a few minutes to get the mixed sta-bil into the fuel rails.

x3 with STA-BIL. Use it in my low miles Aerocoupe every winter. Never an issue. I also put in a little bit extra. The bottle says 'no problem' with doing so.

I had a car (1986 Audi) sit for 4 years without anything added to the gas. It had a full tank of gas, after charging the battery, it ran the whole tank without any problems. Just saying........

It was 87 octane BP gas. I ran the tank close to empty and filled up with new gas. The car ran the same with the old gas (4 years old) as with the new gas, no missing or anything like that.

What KIND of "gas" was in it though.

Standard gasoline doesn't need a fuel stabilizer.

Ethanol blends absolutely need fuel stabilizer. Typically in the US you are getting E10 to E15 blends, which can be as much as 1.5% pure water mixed in the fuel.

Doesn't sound like much, but over time it builds up. Also, over time Ethanol causes more water to condense into the fuel.

All i know is my 1986 Audi Coupe GT 5 cylinder sat from 1999 to 2004 for a total of four years and one month with 87 octane BP gas that was filled in December. I don't know if Tennessee and BP was using ethanol in gas back in 1999 or not
