AAI works four days a week. They do not build on "fridays" they do build on thursday nights though.
I was at the plant yesterday and they were going on about how the 4 day work week saves mega bucks in overhead cost.

This topic reminded me of something,
Brian Bosworth, the football player, wrote in his autobiography that he and his fellow college players were given "jobs" at the Corvette plant in the summer.
He talked about how players and workers alike would goof around and stuff empty beer cans and half eaten sandwiches into the doors before putting the panels on.
They also hung nuts on strings inside body panels to create rattles.
Things are hopefully far better than in the 80's

The Friday build is in no way a deal breaker...
Its funny to me that I had a dream about my car being built on a Friday the night I got my VIN, I guess I should have played the Lotto the next day
I started this thread 'cause I have nothing else to pass the time while I wait for my car. Already picked the 19" wheels, waiting on Borla's S-type axle-back, debating on tearing up the interior to install the Silver Horse Racing louvers...
Of all the new vehicles I've owned, my '05 has had the fewest problems; the only one associated to the assembly line was the console power outlet, the other 3 were TSB related (parking brake, MP3 playback) or due to operator error (fuel sending unit).
All of my Jeeps ('97, '00, '03, '07, '09) have had numerous TSB issues & recalls -worst being my '07 Wrangler with a bunch of assembly line issues (extra clips rattling around in the dash, passenger airbag seat switch not clipped in, 2nd 12V power outlet not connected, shifter & clutch not aligned/installed properly, rear seat & carpeting not installed properly)
My '03 Saturn put the 07 Wrangler to shame in the first 6 months... 2 months spent at the dealer (various assembly line related problems along with mechanical issues/TSBs). It's issues were exacerbated by the dealer leaving the oil cap off after an oil change, then breaking the hood release on a later oil change...

I bought a pre-owned 08 Chrysler back on Halloween and it has been fine. I'm only having a couple of tweaks done before warranty expires, but they're minor and I could live without them.
