Yes and now driving my 2006 without them is going to be a let down every time I get in and thats my daily driver. So.. Now what do I do.. I know some of you have had these type of seats for a while but they really do make the driving experience so much better...

Looks awesome. I also love that CS plaque on the console lid.

Huh... I didn't even notice that lol. Whoops. I'm assuming that's from the pace car, Dave?

I'd like to revive this thread for more information about installing the 2015-2017 Ford Performance Recaro seats in my 2008 GT500 Convertible. I'm not worried about the side airbags since I have to disable that wiring anyway because the side bars of my roll bars would make a side airbag event dangerous. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern from 2017 is compatible with 2008? Does anyone know why the seats say coupe only? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Hi Walt. I'm subscribed to this thread because I'm adding 13-14 Recaros to my 2011GT. To answer your questions:
The seat frame pattern from S197 is different to that of S550. There is another thread on TMS that shows what the difference is, and with good welding skills you can make it work. It's the fronts that are different...vertical on S197, horizontal on S550. Also, the floorpans are different between coupe and convertible (for S197), so the seat frames are different for coupe and convertible. I'm just an amateur, so you should triple-check all of this info, here and other forums.

There is another thread where some one did retro fit 15-18 Recaros in an 11-14. It took some work and a little fabrication for the front mount. The wiring-harness was completely different. I'll see if I can find it.

Page 2 of this thread. The member has details on how he did his retro-fit.
