Ford Racing Recaro Seats Install

I just installed the Ford Racing Recaros in my 2011 GT/CS and everything is great except the airbag light stays on now. I see on my power seats there is a extra sensor but no extra plugs on the Recaro. Now do I have my Ford Service Rep reset the computer?

I read on SVTPerformance that you have to pull a fuse for the airbags to reset the light. TOB and several others had this issue when they replaced their stock seats with the Recaro seats.

Did you go clothe only or did you recover them with leather Shelby take-offs?

Your car is too **** cool...the seats are the icing on the cake. Any pictures of your new seats would be most welcome.

...
Sounds like an easy fix... I'm interested to hear if this works. Some day, when I'm done pumping money into my Dart, I will buy a set of these seats.

This from AM website:
Please Note. Does not fit 2011-Mid 2012 Mustangs as Ford changed the style of air bag connector mid model year.

There is a way to convert to the older style if you stroll through this thread.

Thanks All here is a couple photos inside the garage, they are awesome! A bit pricey but love the fit and the way they feel and look! Thank you Mike for the nice comments! Both plugs fit together under each seat, but I'm guessing the pins might not be but they are the same type, yellow and black. I will work this out, I want to be safe but also cant stand that light on my dash!! LOL

Thank you for the link Vincent!

LOL. Those look great. I've sat in the Recaro's, and they felt great in the show room, but I havent ridden in a car with them. I thought it would have been nice to have those as an option for the CS, but guess they dont make enough CS's to warrant the cost and different seat cover style.

Yeah they look awesome!! Let us know how you fix the airbag issue. I'm sure it will be helpful to those that do the same swap.

Jaco... That looks fantastic. I might have to consider doing this someday. Are they much more comfy than the stock leathers?

I'm biased, but my seats feel 100x better than the leather seats in the wife's 11 GT premium. You feel way more connected to the road and don't have to hang onto the wheel in sharp turns.

Very nice! I love the recaros on mine, and even my pregnant wife thinks they're comfortable. Got the baby recaro seat coming soon =)
