Are you all referencing the standard 2015 seats or the 2015 Recaro seats? Just curious because when I drove a 2015 I thought the seats seemed to have better side support Not as good as the Recaro's but better than my 2014.

2015 base seats are fantastic. But the 2015 recaro's are even better than the 2014.

I would take either. For every day I would love to know if the 2015 would fit my 2014.

I'm in the process of installing the 2015 Recaro ford racing seats in my 05 mustang Gt. So far they physically fit in place and the back mounting bolts are the same as the 05 to 14. the front mount bolts are installed vertically instead of horizontally, but if I take the 90 deg bracket off the old seats they can be made to fit. Ill post more once I get them bolted in and get the seatbelt and passenger airbag sensors working.

Interesting that the 2015 FR Recaros are leather. I love that they have the seatbelt guide! I'm going to look into retrofitting those onto mine.

rear seat track was very easy to modify to fit just had to remove the factory studs. Next step is to make the front seat track mounting brackets.

Ended up using the OEM brackets off the old seats.

Had to cut 1 1/8 off the front tracks.

Finished Product.

I used the new FR bladder and removed the FR sensor and connected the old OEM sensor to bladder tube and clamped it. So I was able to keep the stock wiring harness. The wiring was pretty straight forward.

The mounts after I trimmed them and used a very big hammer. LOL

I drilled out the rivets here

Bottom view of mounts

Mid way through the drilling process

left mount I only had to trim the side. I didn't trim any metal off the top.

Right side I used the Left to mark and trim the Right

Mid way through the drilling process

Holy cow, quite the work you had to do to get this to work!

You sir are not just a retrofitter (welcome to the club), but a master craftsman! Wish I could be a part of your club ...

Passenger side New FR bladder and Tube connected to OEM sensor and wiring. There is fluid in this bladder so when you swap out the sensor hold the tube up so the fluid doesn't run out and quickly insert sensor in tube and clamp. I used the OEM wire harness and the airbag and seatbelts work fine.

Passenger side OEM elect plug soldered to new FR seatbelt Note...New seatbelt has 5 wires where OEM has 2 I used a meter and found continuity between these two wires...these are the ones I used

OEM elect plug drivers side. The green and black wires power the lumbar and power seats. I cut these since the new seats are not power. they are the green and black wires on the left and right. you want the three wire in the center for the seatbelt and track sensor. the yellow plug is not used on my 2005.

Drivers side seat belt and track sensor wiring
