Tell her you would pay equal attention to both her and the car if you could get the car into the kitchen.

Once she asked "does the car come before me?" I said listen I'll give up Mustangs and car shows as a hobby, buy a plain car to get around in. My new hobby will be going out every weekend chasing p**** with my friends. (note: she knows it's a lot of women out there ready to go, clubs packed 8-9 to 1.) So babe should I sell the car or what? Haven't heard one complaint since.

Get he into cars! Its easier for them to understand if they are around cars/track. My GF loves to drive and when I got a M/T she was a little sad, but now shes starting to get it, she drives the 5.0 a fair amount now.

Or do what my parents do, they pay the bills with a joint account....then they have a personal account, as long as the bills are paid they get whatever they want...whenever...no question/argument.

Tell her she is lucky you only have one car or she would be out... Ok don't say that j/k. Yes it's normal have you seen this?

Sadly she is not into cars, she views them as a means to get from A to B as as long as it starts all is good.
She still goes on at me about not even had a drive of it yet after 7 months and I won't let her after explaining that since I bought her a 2010 Focus she has scrapped the right front wing, removed passenger mirror and scrapped the rear door on a metal post, scrapped and dented the rear bumper when she reversed it into my F150 before I got the Stang. Keys are hidden and I don't think I am being unreasonable here!!!???
Thankfully she doesn't know about most of the mods I have done in the same way she has no idea about what I purchased and placed in my gun safe - I work on the basis of what the eye don't see the mind will never know!
She better change her ideas or I'll have to trade her in for someone who appriciates the finer things in life

You guys went about this all wrong. When my husband and I dated we had "shop dates". That was where I spent the entire day/evening with him in the shop working on whatever his current project was.
As the kids today say, back in the day I had a better ear for adjustin the carb on those 289s than he did and he was happy to admit it. With smaller hands I could also reach some things he couldn't.
30 years later he has no problems saying, "Babe, could you come help me with this?" But he also has no problem standing at the sink after we have 40 people in for a meal. The road runs both way, boys. Make it worth her while!
