I think a radar detector should be standard equipment in these cars. The other thing that I believe more people should adopt the use of, is the Waze app on your smart phone. The presence of traffic jams, accidents, traffic cameras, police etc. are all able to be shared with anyone running the app. It can & will save you time & money.

Amen to that! That's the only map app I use on my phone. However, the data is only as good as the people who are diligent enough to enter accurate information.
My first car was an 84 SVO, of course I jacked the boost up... We were heading down I-80, nobody around and my friend asks if the car is fast. I think we were doing around 125 when a trooper met us going the other way.
I don't condone the actions I took, but there was no ticket.
I DID however get a ticket from a trooper, 85 in a 65. Driving my friends Camaro. Last time I drove a Camaro. Lol. The guy was a total *** too.
Speaking of - anyone have a suggestion for a good radar detector that isn't $1000?

LoL. How long have you had the Mustang? It took me 2 or 3 years with my first Mustang. I only got a warning for 50 in a 40. About a year later, I got another warning. I accidently squealed tires. The officer asked me "ma'am, are you in a hurry?" I live in a small town and people were surprised I did not get a ticket. I think it was my politeness or the disabled veteran plates. My husband said someday that might get me out of a ticket. Had the GT 8 months now. My husband said he is surprised I have not gotten a ticket yet. Don't think I will be so fortunate not to with the GT.
I had one of the first new 2010 Camaro's ( yellow w/black stripes ) on the Shore and in the year and a half that I owned it was pulled over 14 times again No tickets. A friend of mine has a lime green Challenger and has been pulled over 6 times by SP ( No Tickets) I have come to the conclusion you cannot own anything nice without being harassed.
