I think a radar detector should be standard equipment in these cars. The other thing that I believe more people should adopt the use of, is the Waze app on your smart phone. The presence of traffic jams, accidents, traffic cameras, police etc. are all able to be shared with anyone running the app. It can & will save you time & money.

Amen to that! That's the only map app I use on my phone. However, the data is only as good as the people who are diligent enough to enter accurate information.

Maybe owners of 2012 Kona Blue GTs are the only people who are detail oriented enough to do that?

I don't condone the actions I took, but there was no ticket.

I DID however get a ticket from a trooper, 85 in a 65. Driving my friends Camaro. Last time I drove a Camaro. Lol. The guy was a total *** too.

Speaking of - anyone have a suggestion for a good radar detector that isn't $1000?

My husband said someday that might get me out of a ticket. Had the GT 8 months now. My husband said he is surprised I have not gotten a ticket yet. Don't think I will be so fortunate not to with the GT.
I do not know what it is but if you have a fast, bright colored sports car here on the Eastern Shore the SP just love to pull you over. I have been pulled over by SP ( local and local Sheriffs never ) 5 times in the last 4 weeks ( No tickets ) just warnings about loud exhaust or looks to nice I had one of the first new 2010 Camaro's ( yellow w/black stripes ) on the Shore and in the year and a half that I owned it was pulled over 14 times again No tickets. A friend of mine has a lime green Challenger and has been pulled over 6 times by SP ( No Tickets) I have come to the conclusion you cannot own anything nice without being harassed.

I speed on entrance ramps; my planned argument is there are no posted limits on ramps. Haven't gotten first yet but driving an orange Mustang makes me an easy target.

I'm still using a Valentine One. I hear that there have been some improvements made by other manufcaturers, but I've updated my detector & it has served me well.
