finally got my

FIRST TICKET with my Mustang!!!! Not bad though....52mph in a 40mph zone. Surprised it took me so long!

Mustang Mama 4/24/14 04:00 PM

LoL. How long have you had the Mustang? It took me 2 or 3 years with my first Mustang. I only got a warning for 50 in a 40. About a year later, I got another warning. I accidently squealed tires. The officer asked me "ma'am, are you in a hurry?" I live in a small town and people were surprised I did not get a ticket. I think it was my politeness or the disabled veteran plates. My husband said someday that might get me out of a ticket. Had the GT 8 months now. My husband said he is surprised I have not gotten a ticket yet. Don't think I will be so fortunate not to with the GT.

Got my first ticket in March, 6 months after I bought my baby. 86mph in a 70. I talked the trooper down to a 75mph ticket, saved me $100. I have a hard time driving the speed limit in my new car!!!

lakersfreak 4/24/14 04:25 PM

I've had my car for 8 months.

I wonder how much my ticket will be...

Mustang Mama 4/24/14 04:36 PM

You going to frame the ticket? :policeman:

I'm having fun with the GT but trying to be careful. Don't want to get a ticket. I am more paranoid now that I have the loud exhaust.

Rudy C 4/24/14 04:45 PM

My ticket cost me $87. The trooper did complement me on my car which eased the pain somewhat.

Dude that's hilarious you sound almost proud of it lol. Where did you get the ticket?

So i know to be extra careful in that area...

almost two years now.. zero tickets. wife however, has gotten three in it. best part? i'm the primary driver, and the gear head.

Got my ticket in Iowa, they are terrible over there.

I was just telling my dad how hard it is to stay the limit in a 25 mph zone. I have to just tap the gas peddle and coast

FullRide14 4/24/14 09:15 PM

I got out of a ticket once purely because the office was a mustang fan. 65 in 50 just heading out of town and the cherries came on. Officer walked up, complimented the car, then said "you know you're going a little fast right?" I said no officer I did not then got a speech about the speed limit for another quarter mile another compliment and have a nice night. I love my mustang :)

I got a ticket a month after I got mine. 78 in a 45. And I was happy as heck to get back down to 78. Lol. Maybe I was 3 digits. Lol

A ticket is a one time fine...it's the insurance premiums that can go up because of a ticket that can be a several year sting in the wallet. And if your under 25; ouch!

Apparently there's a limit to power too, according to some folks :screwy:

Other than my occasional burst of wildness, I get passed by other drivers in a hurry. This morning I went by a sheriff in the other lane going 80 in a 55. I looked in the mirror but they never turned around thank goodness. I was in a pack of cars and was clearly passing them in the middle lane (3 lane road). Truth is I was trying to get around the car in the right lane so the guy in the Dodge truck behind me was free to go 90.

I think I had gone almost a year and a half until I got my first ticket in my mustang. Wasn't actually meaning to speed, early morning on my way to work and nothin i could do about it.
