This is good news. This was a current fear as I debate/save for a tune. My goal is to run a 91 hybrid tune in summer.

The car is speed limited to 114mph. Based on quite a few reports the driveshaft consistently comes apart between 130 and 140mph. Figure you would need to stay below 125 retain a bit of a safety margin.

I don't see the point of changing the speed limiter by just 11mph.

Yeah, I don't either. It was just a thought.

I wonder too . My Dad's 2010 Taurus with the 3.5L says in the owners manual "For best performance use a higher octang fuel" (something like that). Also in the Lincoln 3.7L owners manual it says the same thing. It doesn't say crap about it in the Mustang owners manual but we do get a few (7-8 wheel horsepower) using a higher octane gas....

Does anyone know the torque increase with premium fuel?

It advances timing until knock is detected so it should take advantage of 93 too.

Congratulations not bad numbers, looks like most of the predictors were pretty close.

how heavy are our cars?

Just food for thought, one of my old cars was a '98 Grand Prix GTP, and with it's sole mod being a changed supercharger pulley (2.5 psi increase) I pulled a 13.96@98.45

That's a 240hp car with maybe a 20hp mod.

Always thought the v6's were pretty light.

Bare in mind it's automatic with 2.73 gears and that was only a simulation. I think the v6's weigh around 3400-3500 lb and a Grand Prix is around 3800.

Also if I'm not mistaken, those GTP make some great torque numbers.

ah looked it up.

My GTP was around 3400lbs and it too was an automatic but with 2.93 gears.

It's lighter than the v6 stang, that's the difference.

All things considered, that's a good time, even if a sim.

Yep your right, I over guesstimated, guess I was thinking about the 3800 motor.
