Dynoing my bone stock 2011 V6

Next Saturday, I'm attending a charity fund raising where you get a single dyno pull plus a quarter mile simulation in return for a donation. So, what should I expect from my 2011 bone-stock auto V6 with 40K on the odo? I want to see how close you guys get to the actual results.

If I had a prize to give out, we could do a pool.

Sorry to say, but you won't be able to get a clean pull on an automatic car without a tune to lock the trans from downshifting/upshifting when you go WOT during the pull. And if not for that, you will run up against the speed limiter before getting a full pull.

It's for charity so do it anyway just for the donation to the cause.

More like at least a 22% loss from having the speed limiter. You'll hit the speed limiter in 3rd gear with room left to go, so you won't get anywhere near the max output of the engine.

With the speed limiter in place you'll probably hit around 240-250hp. With the speed limiter disabled you should be really close to 280hp.

Stock - on 87 octane? I'd guess about 245 RWHP and 240 torque based upon pulls I did for baseline and testing tunes and intakes with 93 octane.

My understanding is the adaptive knock/spark control will continue to advance timing until knock is detected. I'm sure it doesn't add a lot of power but feels crisper on the 91 vs 87. Also, I'm seeing slightly better fuel economy on 91.

it might adapt slightly but its nothing like it being tuned for it. whats your reasoning for not getting a tune?

Actually the V6 just like the GT will compensate for the higher octane, it was around an 8 HP difference between 87 and 93.

Don't disable the speed limiter until after you've replaced the stock drive shaft.

There is a good reason why it's speed limited.

Hey what charity event are you referring to? I live about 20 miles from the Woodlands.
