Downloading music from IPOD to SYNC?

I was told by my salesman that you can download/upload your music from your IPOD to Sync. Does anybody know if this is possible? I do not have the EP. I looked through the book and tried scrolling through the menus but can't figure out how to get it to download. I can connect the IPOD via the USB port and play it, but I want to download the files to Sync so I don't have to connect my IPOD everytime.

It is my understand from a tech geek buddy that apple is very territorial about it's ipod downloads. He hypothesizes that you can however upload from ipod to computer and burn a disc. Then you can use the disk to upload to your Electronics Package. I haven't tried it, but I'm having a great time loading old discs onto the package. I only have 348 songs so far, but they are 348 of my favorites.

Can you download to the EP hard drive from a USB drive or non-ipod MP3 player?

You are correct, that is the loophole. However, a much better option is getting a USB thumbdrive or portable laptop hard drive that can run off power from the USB port. Load that up with your music and plug it into the USB port in the center console.
