Does the V6 Mustang Deserve Respect? This 'One Take' Owner Thinks So
#101
I don't know what the OP has but this discussion happens all the time because one person will state the v6 isn't a proper Mustang and then many with v6 Mustangs run to defend their purchase and then GT owners run to defend their purchase. Unless you are paying the car payment it shouldn't matter. I don't mind a good discussion but it is when people poke just to start something that it becomes an issue.
The Cyclone motor deserves respect in that it has v8 power from just a few years ago in a fuel efficient package. The motor loves to rev and loves to race around. It isn't the Big v8 that the 5.0 is but there is always pros and cons with vehicles. Why buy a v6 when for about 10k you can have a v8? Why stop there? Why not spend even more and get a GT500? There are reasons for getting a v6 that guys with the v8 think are silly like the price. 10k is a lot of money for a recent grad like myself.
The v6 looks just as mean as the 5.0 and I have been able to make mine look perfect for me. Car shows are great and I am not afraid to open my hood. Some of my friends who have v6 mustangs are afraid. I am not afraid because it is a great motor and I bought it, it is mine. I thing this v6 vs v8 thing needs to go away but it never will.
