Of course it deserves respect. It is a mustang afterall. Anyone that says otherwise is just arrogent, or perhaps ignorant.

In my case i bought the a 2013 V6 with the intention of putting a supercharger on it. Could i have afforded the V8? Absolutely. But V8 Mustangs are everywhere. I wanted something that not many people have. A solid and very repeatable 415 rwhp out of a stock cyclone motor. I get 26mpg on the highway and I have something unique. At the end of the day we are all part of the same family. Some just do it differently.

The guy who doesn't respect them seems to ready to ignore the fact that it was not that many years ago that the V8 had less HP than the current V6. Mine is stock and will stay that way and what I don't have any respect for is anyone who looks down their nose at it.

Nothing wrong with the V6, it has plenty of power for what I need.

My boss is originally from Serbia. He looked at my Mustang and the Grabber blue V6 of a co-worker and said "mans car" while pointing at mine and then "girls car" pointing at his.
I have no opinion but thought it s funny nonetheless.

If you take the V6 out and put a coyote in it. Then it'll get some respect

Your boss is a jerk IMHO and should go back where he came from, then he could buy himself a used Yugo. You have to be a REAL man to get into one of those things.

I didn't buy my car with what other people think of it in mind. It puts a smile on my face, and that's all that matters to me.

Nothing wrong at all with an I-4 Turbo or V-6 Mustang. While I have a 5.0, they are all fast and look great. And no matter how fast you are, there will always be someone out there faster. Enjoy what you have!

i love the V8 attitude. you realize there are people way faster then you. so the V8 does not deserve any respect either.

Exactly my thoughts. From the much maligned Mustang II to the coveted Shelby, if it's right for you, it's right. I like all the generations for different reasons.

Amen to that, brother. Your grandma can point a car straight ahead and mash the accelerator to the floor. It takes a lot more than that to go fast in the twisties and the big engine loses its edge there. My S2000 friends have found that they can't get my Mustang out of their rear view mirrors on those roads that are so much fun to drive.

From a vehicle stand point, yes. What is it like 83 HP per liter and can get 30 MPG highway while making 305 HP is decently impressive for an engine in a car that averages out in the low 30's MSRP. As a Mustang, probably not. When you think of Mustangs, you think of a V8, same goes for Camaro's, Challenger's, and Charger's. They deserve respect for what they are but as a Mustang, it's debatable and that's coming from someone who heard everything and then some as a V6 owner. It is a low cost sensible option that gets the job done without being excessive and while still being somewhat thrilling.

IMHO yes without a drought. I have respect for all others project cars.
But screw all this talk about respect. It's not relevant.
I have a V8, but without thinking about it I would own the car in the video. The car is sweet. It's not about respect its about would you have it in your garage or not. I would personally drive the **** out of that car. It's cool.
Would you respect me in the morning after you drove the **** out of me. Who else care but the individual.
4,6 or 8. Something is always faster. But not always as cool or fun.

Sounds like a bunch of v6 owner trying to do some v8 shaming. Reminds me of when a fatty says to a skinny person "eat a burger!". Lol
