D-plan on a 13 GT?
This is my first post on here. New to the sight but not to Mustangs or Mustang fourms. It's been a while since I own one and may be getting one soon. I just got my D-plan pin today and I am going to hopefully work out a deal tonight. Has anyone bought a 13 GT under D latley? How much will I get off of MSRP? I'll get to the "intoducing myself" section once I take delivery. LOL

I believe the D-plan is better pricing than the X-plan. My dealer gave me D-plan pricing on the 2014 I ordered... I believe it comes in slightly below invoice. Then there are great incentives right now on the 2013's. Did you get the $750 rebate in the mail as well?
Welcome to the forums - I'm still waiting on my car (another 3.5 weeks or so supposedly!) What exactly are you getting?

I am just going for a Base GT with no options. I feel like everything I want can be added. I was going to go Brembo and 373's but I want Baer Brakes and 410's. I can get my own seats, stereo, etc. later and save some $$ on my monthly payment. Plus I feel like most of the options make the car something that anyone can buy and adding stuff to it after makes it's more my own. I love modding things over time.

Blue Blood, one thing to consider is rolling parts from the Ford Racing catalog into your purchase and dump them on the loan/purchase price. I did that and got more than 20% off all the parts. May be useful plan since you sound like customizing yourself. I even threw a few bits for my 2008 mustang project car.

Baer brakes are a great setup. 4.10's huh? Very short gearing for this engine. I thought about adding on parts too but I like the Ricardo's with air ages a lot and the brembos are perfectly capable for the track driving with a brake cooling setup. It takes about 2 weeks to get the $750 coupon...

Primarily a drag car I'm guessing? Mine will be on road courses, so 3.73's are about perfect for my purposes. Fair point tho that each has their own reason for particular gearing!

Just ordered a 2014 GT convertible with tech package 6M , I believe the dealer plan for me brings the cost in at a little of 32,000. If I recall , the invoice was around 37k

If they don't do that any more, you might want to call Ford Customer Service. I just bought a new Cadillac and called customer service to complain that the $1000 for current Cadillac owners expired before my car got to the dealer (4 weeks from factory to dealer). They immediately emailed me a $1000 coupon good for 3 months. I never actually owned a Cadillac or said I did but I guess they assumed I did. My point is, if you can't get a coupon another way, you don't have much to lose by calling and complaining that someone else got a $750 Ford coupon while a repeat Ford owner like yourself did not.

Regarding the whole mod after the fact.. it can be a brilliant idea, or it can hold you back too. I ordered my car w/ the brembo brakes, simply because the package was much greater than the sum of it's price, as it was full suspension, epas tuning and wheels that cleared big brakes and very sticky tires. While I have since upgraded to some aftermarket wheels that clear the calipers, I made more money selling the better wheels/tires than I would have if I had the base wheels.
If I were to do it all over again and not jump to the shelby, only thing I'd change is adding the nav right off the bat, instead of waiting for a good viable android solution.

Even if I never drag raced my car, the 4.56's make the car super entertaining to drive every day - and I drive it every day, so it's theraputic.

$31,545 = MSRP
$29,687 = Factory Invoice Total
$29,843 = X-Plan
$28,678 = D-Plan
Rebates are ever changing and vary around the country, so I left them out of the pricing above.
