There are just as many people that don't like the look...that didn't like the 05-09s...the 99-04s... the ... the ...

You can't please everyone, all of the time.

Just because they don't like it, doesn't mean they are hateres...

Wonder if people will refer to the 2007-09 as the 'heavy pig' and the 2010GT500 as the 'slow fat model' then when the 011 comes out...or the 2012 for that matter...
or the 2013..or..

I own a 2007 GT and absolutely love the 2010 Mustang. Having test driven one, I feel as though the 2010 is better than my car -- the outgoing model -- in every way.

I agree with you. The only thing is i just do not find the rear pleasing to my eyes. Not as bad with the GT500 rear spoiler but still its just my taste. But yes the '10 is a better quality car than the 05-09. I think with a GT500 spoiler and a chin spoiler the car can be very pleasing and im sure i will own a 5.0.

You're right, a 400 horsepower 5.0L engine will probably make several oblivious of the 2010-11 Mustang's perceived styling flaws. I personally think it looks great, though.

Not true at all and it is a sweeping generalization. I've owned a '67 convertible, and '86 Gt, and '89 GT and now an '07 GT. I've always been a Mustang guy. My Dad was when I was a kid (in the 60s). I like the 2010 design - everything BUT the rear end. I thas nothing to do with being jealous that I don't own the newest, not because we can't afford to get another Mustang (we can). I just don't like the rear. The new Saleen on another thread does the best with the bad situation. Plain and simple.

Jeebus, was there this much hate and trash talk about the '99 body style when the '99s came out? I had a '98 and I sure didn't hate the '99 , I thought it was just different and liked most of the changes.

It's the same thing for me with the 2010's. I like 2010s a lot, and if I were in the market right now for a new Mustang I would buy one. But I own my '06 outright (paid cash for it) so I'm a little biased toward the 1st gen s197s

We are talking about people here, a vocal mini-minority, to be sure, but they are still people. And people are known throughout history for their love of trash talking and hating things which represent inherent differences from their perceived likes.

Does that mean the new-gen trash talkers are just afraid of irrelevancy?

I think its funny that the people that are whining about, er....bashing the 2010's looks are still reading all the threads in the 2010 section.
I can understand posting their dislike for the 2010's once or twice and then MOVING ON, but its like a broken record. If this was at my house, I'd ask them to leave and go play somewhere else..... far away please.

I think its funny how the 2010ers aren't thankful to the earlier generations for buying the Mustangs through history that made the existence of their Mustangs possible.

I think some of these 2010ers seriously need to grow up and learn how to share a forum or find their own sandbox to play in. You are just going to have to get used to us.

And hate is a very strong word. I don't see the hate to which you speak of. I love three sides of the car and all of the interior. I've got to love the engine and chassis because its the same as mine. So I'm not a hater and I and alot of others share this opinion.

So if you want to buy a car that everyone on the forum loves and does nothing but blow smoke up each others' asses about how awesome the car is and how nothing before or after can ever compare, buy a Camaro, and join Camaro5. Otherwise you are just going to have to learn to deal with it or get thicker skin. And quit calling the owners of older generations jealous because that just shows how immature you really are. Get over yourself.

hahaha I read the current threads regardless of what section they're in, and I'll comment on what the hell I want as long as Obama allows free speech. When he bans that I'll start shooting to make my point.

Regarding the thread, my comments were about the 'life cycle' ending. And I reiterate, as I read the article, I think it refers to a short 10/11 model cycle because the 10 went over like a lead balloon, like a fart in the kitchen, like 3 day road kill for dinner, for most Mustang enthusiasts.

Just had my oil changed at the Dealer, and seeing the '10 in person did not change my opinion. Ford dropped the ball trying to look a little bit too much like every other Japa Euro clone. The Mustang is a Maverick. Who cares what other brands look like, and don't make my Mustang blend in with them!

IMO

Since the '10 is based on my car, I only perceive an improvement to the interior. I like the looks of both about equally. Plus you still can't get highland green.

Yeah, I guess I should have added that caveat -- I haven't driven a Bullitt. Again, the 2010 Mustang is far and away better than my 2007 Mustang GT.

People dont learn from past misteaks. GM is owned by the union now and whats left the government took. the reason is the union held out until GM couldnt afford them anymore and then the gov stepped in to pick up the pieces. Nice job, UAW!!!. Brothers in the union my ***. I know, I used to work for GM. when the chips were down it was every man for themselves. Take a lesson FORD!!!!!!. Throw the union out and keep your jobs!!.

I still don't know what data you're going by. Just because you don't like the new Mustang, it doesn't mean it's automatically a flop. Again, in your opinion, what should Ford have done? Stay with the 2005-2009 body style forever? Consult you so that you can sign off on any future Mustang designs? What?!
