The stock bulbs are 55w. These are 35w. The difference is that in light output (lumens) these put out arond 3400 lumens v.s. the stock H11's which are like.... 800 lumens or so.

I got my kit from DDM Tuning, I'd recommend checking out our vendor here though. Diode Dynamics.

I used the stock factory Lower Valence Fog light kit. At the time I bought mine from Starkey, as Ford hadn't yet released an inclusive kit to convert from the upper grille fogs to the lower valence fogs.

Coolbeans.....I have checked out Diode Dynamics.....their system looks simple....heck I am engineer, everything is simple...LOL.....The GT/CS that are in my lower valance will do??? or do I need to look swapping the lens out for a projector type of lens? If so, what part?

Thank you again

unless you are all squirrels you pretty much need to shut up with this unfounded belief that somehow properly aimed projectors are going to glare. Case in point... you're being blinded BY stock headlights in the slock location at the stock height for the headlights as well as the fogs, a foot off the ground. Secondly they're projectors they're made to not glare like halogens.. To prove a point, tell me how blinded you are by essentially the same shot but about a foot higher off the ground.

if you have a GT/CS or a MCA model you already have projector foglights.

Diva, thank you for all your information and those others that have contributed. I understand the issue of glare....but since currently mine are LED, those that flash their brights at me on coming usually get nothing in return or I oblige with flashing my BRIGHTS on at them.....HID are BRIGHT.......I have so missed having theses babies. and those dern Squirrels......stun them with glare and make'em part of the road.....

OK, I ordered from Diode Dynamics the conversion kit for my Base V6 from the LED to HID. I found it as a black friday event thru them with 20% discount. So when I get and installed I will post photos of before and after.

MK,

The leds are over run sooo bad by the HID headlights...they are just a cosmetic not functionally used. Just adding more light thrown out in front for better visibility....I will worry about aiming them if i have to down the road....

Please show me a picture from the unmounted bulbs because who ever told you its LED is maybe wrong

From all I saw in the technical description all V6 are equiped with H11 bulbs (NO LED) and GT are equiped with LEDs

GT uses LEDs.

California Special GT and v6 MCA Package uses H11s which are not HID.

People need to pay attention.

When I swapped them out over the weekend past....They are incandescent H11 lamps...or were is the correct term here...Now they are 4300K HIDs and open the road up more with light....Can you adjust those driving lights right or left....i would like to adjust my driver side to the left another 3 to 5 degrees....

I will post pictures tonight when i take photos of them on with the reg HID headlights.

Thank you Diode Dynamics....
