Convertible questions

Just checked it out, your 2009 boot would work for all models from 2005-2010. 2011 is a different beast (WHY? WHY? WHY?....)

This is the first 'vert I've owned, and I couldn't imagine a better one. Like Double-EDad said, PFM!!! And to be honest (of course I'm biased), I think the bodylines of the 'Stang look better as a 'vert than a coupe.
One of the many reasons I'm so happy with mine - I have the Brembos and Electronics package and HIDs. Only thing I would have preferred would be a GT500 'vert, and that was way out of my budget.

Actually "Why?" is my question. There is no difference between the 2005-2011 convertible tops. So why would the boot be different? Unless it's those rear seat headrests...

So the trunk release switch disable happens automatically if you leave the top down, shut off the ignition, get out of the car (open door), and then lock with the remote - the steps you would take anyway.

Since nobody else has answered... there is nothing special about deactivating the accessory power delay, it happens as soon as you open a door after shutting off the ignition. The accessory power delay keeps the radio and windows active for about 10 minutes after turning off the ignition or until a door is opened.

You are absolutely correct.... All they have to do is changing things a bit then you have to buy the new stuffs....
#52
Actually, I wish they would have gone further in changing the top so it would sit flush. And, while I hate to say it....... like the Camaro convertible.

Have a 2011 convertible - Just wonder what material the top made of. I never thought of it until the time I look to buy the soft top protectant. There are protectant products for different soft top materials.
Thanks,

Neutered?? If you wanted to insult the car by calling it bald, that's understandable, but...how exactly do you equate taking the TOP off to being neutered??
#56
Two tops are out there - vinyl (base models) and cloth (premiums). 303 makes a really nice cleaner + protectant kit for whichever it is that you have (check Amazon).

Shaker Hood
The '08s don't have locking gloveboxes, center consoles or trunk releases, so...if we're leaving it for any length of time, everything gets locked in the trunk...sometimes I'll put the top up, sometimes not...

I like both 303 and RaggTopp products for cleaning and protecting.
