My 2011 has very faint lines that i think will wipe off but no paint damage.

Just checked my 2012 Kona Blue GT. I found the same paint wear as in the OP's photos.

Found it as well on my 2011 although maybe not quite as bad yet, but it's there. Anybody thinking of how to fix it? I was thinking of just a bit of touch up paint to make sure there is no rust and watch it

To me it looks like the inside of the trunk lid did not get a good coat of clear coat and is a little rougher in texture than the exterior paint.
I will be doing a little heavier detailing on the trunk lid very very soon.
My inner trunk lid has no clear coat application; it is a "dull" red, certainly not shiny like the outer red surface of the car. I don't think the Ford factory paint came with clear coat on the inner trunk lid. If it did, then please, other owners chime in, as mine will go back for this to be taken care of!

Checked the GT this weekend and you can see where the seal meets the trunk lid, but there is no real wear. Didn't have a chance to check the 6'er yet.

The only good fix for this would be a repaint of the area, then put some protective vinyl down. I would imagine that the dustier the environment the more likely it would be to wear a line in paint.

I don't have the problem but if I use a pressure washer the whole trunk is wet. Mine seems to do the opposite of yours your seals so well it peels the paint off mine doesn't seal at all.
Thought maybe mine is coming in around the brake light........
But this really make me question the quality of these cars...... My rear bumper is falling off for no reason.... Your paint is coming off.....

Mine is dull al well I don't think ford clear coated the bottom of the parts, because the hood is full on the underside as well when the hat shield comes off (pulled that off to get the hood vents painted black)

Same here and zero problems even though my car is now 3 years old and used as a DD, so I'm in the trunk fairly often.
