Wow Dineau that really sucks. Why does the costco go away? I had that included in my deal although at the pace things are progressing I may never get my car anyhow

So now its Monday, and the car has been assigned a new shipping company... Not sure why its not in my garage yet, its been in Toronto for the last week just sitting in a lot somewhere. Hope the hurricane doesn't damage the car...

 

Its nearby at least. Probably will be fine. Make sure you do a good check at pickup time

I think I needed you to chime in a week ago. My dealer just told me the car is in. I'll go pick it up tomorrow! I'll post pics when the sun comes back out.

Awesome thread. Very helpful. I received my VIN this week and found the build date of 17.03.2014. Dealer hopes the car will be in next week or the week after. Very excited. .

Surprised your dealer waited so long to get you a VIN. I got mine only a few days after ordering, even though the build hasn't been scheduled yet...oh and go join in the fun in the 2014 Ordered/Built/Delivered thread.

Yep. No matter how many times I check it doesn't move.

Apparently the car is delayed due to: "Ford has 2 car lines on hold"

Hopefully not too much of a delay.

 

As I understand it, the plant's been shut down for the last couple weeks for retooling, reopens on the 14th. I don't expect mine to move until then.

 

The dealer mentioned the re-tooling to go from making US cars to Canadian cars or whatever they do.

Mine is showing in transit so hopefully it has left the factory.

 

Nothing to do with which side of the border they're headed, its just a maintenance shutdown, so your dealer is just feeding you lines there. Either way, they're back in business in less than a week and hopefully our status bars start moving.

 

Nothing matters now. Delivered today. .
