Canadian delivery times

It seems that our Canadian delivery times are a lot longer than our southernly neighbours.
Even my dealer concurrs.
I know we had our fog light issues earlier this year, there was a hold up. But that's long resolved.

Can we get some Canadian delivery times posted up, to see how we fair.

I share your pain, here's mine :

ORDER: 05.15.2012
VIN#: 06.26.2012
STICKER: tbd
BUILD: 07.16.2012 (week of; date not yet confirmed)
DELIVERY: 07.23.2012 (that's an early ETA, easily add +1-2 weeks)
PACKAGE: Black 2013 GT, 401A

It's quite long... I've been told different reason (delays, b/o, too much order, dealers allocation). At this point, I just have to wait :/

However, my friend got lucky. Our current guess is he received an higher order priority by the dealership because of his trade car. Or they made a batch of Glass Roof.

ORDER: 05.15.2012
VIN#: 06.26.2012
BUILD: 06.11.2012 (week of)
DELIVERY: ETA:06.18.2012, DEALER: 06.26.2012
PACKAGE: White 2013 GT, 402A, Glass roof

Makes me wander if they do make them in batches and just wait for enough orders of a paricular color or option, like Brembos.

Im in Toronto, Canada...ordered from Erinwood ford, which is the biggest dealer for mustangs on the West side.

I was told by my dealer 8 weeks. But from the looks of things. Ford isn't in any hurry.
A full month just to pull the order, thats a little ridiculous, considering most US orders are VINed within a week or two.

Sure the USA buys more cars...But we pay more for them, with the dollar almost on par. For my package at least it almost 8Gs more then the US.
Good thing we have those rebates now. But still, you'd think Ford would give priority over cars they make more money on.

Dealer allocation is the reason why some people get their VIN right away, while others have to sit and wait.

This post explains the system well.

4 weeks from build date for me, there was some mechanical issue with the railroad here and there which postponed it from 3 weeks to 4.

Jan27th ordered MY 2013 convertible. Got it April 28th ... 14 weeks...delivery was changed 2 times....April 8 th, then the 16th. Yes, I'm in Toronto.

10 weeks is common, anyone getting it earlier is just lucky, and using a mustang high volume store.

I think you got everyone beat there....4 weeks...fast.
I've noticed that V6s get built quicker.

I heard Jan was slow overall since the production took a while to get off the ground, and of course that Industry Canada fiasco with the fog lights.

What dealer you get yours from.
Erinwood?
Heritage?

Went to east court ... Considering I was one of the first with a ragtop I was ok.

Heritage and erinwood had all black ones, mine is white.... I got mine about 2 weeks after they started getting there own.

Just found out my ETA has been pushed back by 2 weeks.
From Jul 30 to Aug 12.

I guess this is ETA delay #1.

So that will make it 2 1/2 months.
But I'm sure it will be more like 3 months.

My ETA changed 4 times and in the end it was delivered to me 1 day ahead of the original ETA.
