Would like to try to correlate VIN's to build dates and ACTUAL deliveries (we'll count "in transit" too.)

Mine is 116799 and built on 5/4. ETA, any day now.

You can see from THIS sample that the build dates and VINs are mostly correlated in order. The last 3 in the 110xxx series plus mine are all 4/26 or later builds and are likely in transit.

the interesting this is I called Ford CS this morning and the girl actually took time to talk to me and and said was escalating my issue and that I should get a call within 2 business days by a "specialist" who would be working with my worthless dealer to resolve my problem.

 

being on the west coast sucks for this waiting game! mine was built on 4/26 but isn't going to be here tell 5/25 GGRRRRRRR

I have called in to the 800 about every 2-3 days and have followed the car. And it has moved along nicely tell it sat for about 2 weeks in the AAI lot. Then after talking to my dealer (that is a friend from my mustang club) he told me it takes on average 15 day to get out there. I don’t know why he would lie to me so I take him at his word.

Yeah, no kidding. The tracking status from Ford said something about rail conveyance malfunction (or something like that). That resulted in my May 17 ETA being pushed back a week. I saw the printout myself while visiting my dealer.

I just got the news that it is on a Canadian National rail car heading to Chicago and arrived at Battle Creek @ 3:26 this morning.

Interestingly train initially headed NORTH ...
passed thru Pontiac @ 12:06 AM
then Durand @ 1:16 AM
then Lansing @ 2:47 AM
then Battle Creek @ 3:26 AM

I'd guess it should be at the Chicago transfer point sometime today if not there already. Can only guess how long it takes to unloaded them from the rail cars and re-loaded on to transport trucks, but I'd think it is safe to say my car should arive at my dealer (3 hrs away) by the middle of next week for sure.

This news really made my day, as it was still at Ramp 5P yesterday !!
