So we can all debate this topic until hell freezes over.. However as I previously mentioned, it's always in your best interest to have your e-mail tunes checked on a dyno to make certain your air/fuel along with the spark and timing curves are accurate and safe..

Although Brenspeed clearly states on their website they do not offer remote tuning via datalogging.. They will make any necessary adjustments if the air/fuel or any other parameters such as the spark and timing curves are not safe.. Therefore as far as I'm concerned, this is considered as a form of remote tuning whenever any corrections/adjustments are made..
I
At any rate, the main purpose of the OP's thread is to determine whether to choose Brenspeed or HPP Racing for his tuning needs.. Being that I'm not familiar with HPP, I recommend Brenspeed..
By the way I'm a girl!! Lol

Thanks for the info guya

Each tune is specifically written for your car's individual ECM along with your individual parameters, including air/fuel, spark and timing curves in addition to whatever mods you've upgraded..

And yes, Brenspeed will most definitely tweak and make any adjustments necessary to your calibration and will then send you a revised tune file via e-mail to upload into your programmer..

FYI ! Brenspeed has also been in the performance industry for nearly 20 years and were also one the very first Saleen authorized service centers along with JDM engineering and 281 motorsports in which each were considered as the top 3 custom tuners for Saleen..

As for the other tuners you mentioned, only one of them has been around longer than Brenspeed and that happens to be Steeda..

With that being said ! Perhaps you should take the time in doing your own research about a particular vendor/tuner rather than go by what somebody has either told you or may had read in some magazine in which 99% of the time is inaccurate to begin with anyhow..
Thanks for that verbiage, rocky. I agree with exactly what you said, but my case, JDM engineering did my tune. But the process which you described is verbatim what they did for me, and likely what others do for other folks. Mine was an email tune, and I have a blower, and yes my tune is spot on.

That's exactly my point Burton.. Brenspeed, JDM engineering, VMP and Lund's e-mail tunes are based from their custom dyno tunes in which use the very same process and are written specifically for each individual PCM/ECM and require the vehicle's ECM calibration code..

As mentioned in an earlier post, Brenspeed's e-mail calibrations have to pass their R&D testing for safety and reliability before being released to the public and I'm certain JDM engineering along with Steeda, VMP and Lund Racing all have similar requirements as well.. In addition, not only does Brenspeed perform R&D testing on their test vehicles, but also on hundreds of their customer vehicles to insure their spot on and accurate..

Like yourself, I also have a custom e-mail tune written for my Saleen blower and my tune was tested on a dyno by a local speed/tuning shop which did indeed confirm that my tune was also spot on..

Whether anybody participating in this thread happens to agree or disagree as to what the difference between a preloaded/canned tune over a custom e-mail tune.. The bottom line is this, I would not risk using any type of canned tune on my car, especially when it concerns running forced induction/nitrous applications..

As for the reason I selected Brenspeed, the fact is they have an outstanding track record and experience to back it up when it comes to custom tuning for Saleen blowers just as JDM engineering does..

Therefore I wanted for my own piece of mind to find a custom tuner that had the credentials for being an authorized Saleen tuning specialist..

With that being said, when it comes to my Mustang I won't settle for anything less, let alone for some generic one size, fits all canned tune!!!
