Typically you don't, but like I said, I have a full set of rotors for track use as well now.

Don't you have to use the same pads + rotors combination each time to avoid warping the rotors or something?

I'm going to have them resurfaced, so this won't matter. I know you need to remove any gouges in the rotors prior to new pad installation, but I don't believe this will affect them for occasional track use.

Finished the rears today. Much easier than I anticipated. I did need the tool to run the piston back in, but that was the only hurdle I ran into. The outer pad on the drivers side was worn worse than any of the others, down to bare metal. The passenger side still had a bit of pad left on both. Big thanks to JScottGT for the tips on the install.

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm still curious about the abnormal wear on that outer pad. Like I said, the pass. side was normal and uniform on both sides.

Left rear seems to be the wheel that stability control uses the brake on most to control wheel spin and yaw. If you drive the car hard with TC on you will use up that brake. Discovered this when I was road racing and keeping Advance Track on as a safety net. Left rear would always be red hot.
