Thumbs up Borla S-Type and Hypermotive Performance review

Just wanted to take some time to review both my new Borla S-Type Cat back exhaust system as well as the company I purchased it through, Hypermotive Performance.

First impression of the Borla S-Type Cat Back exhaust system was that all of the welds were very well done. The mandrel bending is a huge step up from the stock equipment that has a ton of flat spots in it. After installing the cat back I have to say I am not disappointed by any means. The Borla system is a lot lighter than the stock equipment. The initial start up has volume but the it gets quieter after it warms up a little bit, which is the only down side in my opinion, the idle is a little too quiet in my opinion. Under acceleration the exhaust is the perfect volume for me. I didn't want the exhaust annoyingly loud, I also didn't want any rasp. The tone is deep and rich without any down side in my opinion. I couldn't be happier with my decision to get the Borla system!

I ordered the Borla cat back system through Hypermotive Performance, who received a little flack for getting my business over American Muscle. Let me be the first to say the only reason I was really planning to order from American Muscle for the cat back system was because with their 6% forum discount code they were the cheapest, and had free shipping. Jay from Hypermotive Performance contacted me though and said he would beat American Muscles asking price as well as Hypermotive had a 6% forum discount and offered free shipping as well as he would guarantee the exhaust would be delivered before the weekend when I would be installing it. Well, let me be the first to say Jay kept true to everything he said. I got a 6% forum discount code, Hypermotive had a lower price than American Muscle for the exhaust, shipping was free, and it got to my house 3 days before I got to install it. Jay was great a great help, and responded quickly to every message I sent to him. I am a very satisfied customer and will order from Hypermotive again in the future.

I also want to point out that I have no issue with American Muscle, I have ordered from them before and will order from them in the future as well. Both companies are great and I don't have a negative word to say about either of them.

Im working on it, but it has been tough getting a sound clip that actually does this exhaust justice.

Glad to hear you were satisfied with your purchase!

Hypermotive has always provided excellent support. Whether it's 7:30 in the morning or 11:00 at night, Jay has helped me out.

I can't wait to order my springs and dampers from them!

Jay, maybe on 2nd thought, maybe you should provide shoddy customer service like other vendors on here... That way I will be forced to not buy from you . Because at this rate, you have great sales AND great customer service, you will have me buying things yet again and again.

At last, as I was walking by with my camera, the **** star stripped off all of her clothes and stood there, naked. She looked perfect....
Now where is the photo ?!

Essentially, that's the same sort of cocktease you're doing to us! We need audio clips good sir!

Not a bad idea, lately the issue is not having anyone to help with the video. As soon as I get something I will put it up in here to accompany the review.

Get someone to drive your car WOT passed you... then tell us it's too quiet
The good thing about the Borla's is there are loud when you want them to be, but smooth sounding when just idling.

Ha, I don't let other people drive my car!

It can be very loud, and sounds amazing in tunnels and parking garages. It is just quiet on idle, almost to the point of not being able to hear it when there is other traffic around. Not saying it is a bad thing, just something I have noticed.

I don't blame you. I don't either

But yes you're totally right.
They are quiet at idle and loud when you want them to be. Get the Boss Side Exits.
Your grin will never go away.
