Bored on a Saturday - Comment on my PhotoShop inside!
Got bored, so I spent awhile working to improving the rear of the new Stang. My dislike of the black plastic body kit got me started on this.
It's a GT500 in the shot, but who cares? Don't mind the shoddy PS work either.
What changes do you like? What don't you like. I'm not sure I like it all (taillights are interesting, if nothing else), but this is mainly to spark some conversation out of boredom. For the record, the front and sides are easier to spruce up IMO. Roush front end with splitter, painted rocker panels, and Roush side splitters.

Reverse lights on the 2010s/11s are the white lines between each segment of the brake/turn signal lights. They appear yellow in that first shot for some reason, maybe lighting issues. The turn signals and brake lights are the same.

Yep, my reverse lights would look like those in the MB pic posted. The yellow/amber in the top pic was part of the 'chop. I did see one of the SEMA 2011s (I think) had the outer reverse lens tinted amber. Looked interesting.
My main point was still the diffuser. I don't like how large the factory black plastic is. Those that have painted part of theirs have chosen to paint all of the way out to the lip, like the Street Scene car. I prefer the body line I chose as the split in my original pic. You'd still see a section of black on the bottom of the valence when viewed from the side, and it would flow well IMO with splitters on the (painted) rockers and Roush front bumper.

Here we go guys. Turns out the Dream Giveaway GT500's diffuser was painted exactly the way I was thinking. Look how awesome it looks from all angles. Combined with painted rockers and black side splitters...bingo. On the same token, it looks pretty bad with the factory black rocker panels. Does not flow well at all.

i agree. entire painted rocker panels would look perfect! maybe add the roush side splitters to tie into the front and rear valences :P

Already mentioned them in my last post. They're a big part of the plan to tie everything together.

By the way, GAS has a painted GT500 rear valance for sale. It's painted like the Patriot Edition and it's Grabber Blue. I'm sure they could ship it if you bought it.
