I have the premium leather seats (saddle, no 401A) and I've noticed the driver side is started to get a tad wrinkly compared to the pristine passenger side which only seats an occasional 110 lb female.

Any comfy seat covers/cushions that look and feel great without breaking the bank?

 

Skip the seat covers. You should be fine keeping that seat conditioned. Look into Leatherique Rejuvinator Oil:

Using this 1-2 times a year will help reduce the wrinkles you're seeing.

 

I have used Zaino leather cleaner/conditioner with great success on all my leather
interiors. It won't really stop the wrinkling, nothing will, but will keep it soft and prevent cracking.

I have read complaints about wrinkling seats for many years, in all brands to include BMW. Don't forget, leather is skin, and skin will wrinkle as it stretches with use. This is normal. The most important thing is to keep it clean and conditioned. I use leather cleaner and conditioner at least every three months, more often in hot dry weather, and I have never had a seat crack or check.

 

Go to any auto parts supply store and pick up lexol. It has kept my 401a leather seats looking new. It is what most professionals use to treat leather seats.

 

I'm certainly no leather expert but I have been advised to stay away from Lexol because it is oil based. I use Pinnacle leather conditioner which is a lanolin based product.

 

Botox them wrinkles!!!!

 

And, add a little silicon to the side bolsters

I use the meguires stuff. Sometimes depending on how dirty they get a I use a little mild soap and water to clean, then I treat them after they are dry.

 

Lexol was recommended by a professional leather restoration shop out of Florida on another forum. She does anything that's leather and won't use anything else. She had a number of before and after photos and the results were nothing short of amazing.

It's kind of like car wax, everybody has a preference and there are a lot of good products out there. If you find something that works for you - go with it!
